Bumper Races at Aintree Week 11
Just noticed that there are 2 bumper races at Aintree in week 11. A mares race and an open race, races 13 and 20.
With so few horses taking part in bumper races, do we need 2 bumper races in the same week?
With 2 races it does give different horses a chance of winning a race.
There is no 16f open hurdles race in week 11, (plenty of novice races), so maybe that is a possible replacement race. We could call it John Morgan Cheltenham Champions Cup.

Re: Bumper Races at Aintree Week 11
id say its way too late to make changes now
we will prob only have 3 runners in 1 and 4 in the other as i think there are now only 7 bumper horses in the game
Philly will go to the mares one needs to redeem herself

I had a quick look and 6 of the 7 horses that ran yesterday are fillies

Re: Bumper Races at Aintree Week 11
the solution for this going forward for next season is allow novices to run in bumpers. Is this ok for everyone?

I think bumper races should be kept to bumper horses.
If trainers do not want to upload a specialised bumper horse then that is up to them.

Re: Bumper Races at Aintree Week 11
guys there are 30 slots in each persons squad surely room for a bumper horse in everyones team i still think 30 horses is too many there is not enough races for them all i think 25 would be about right one trainer having 4 2 mile hurdlers or even 5 2 mile chasers is too many just my opinion think having smaller squads would help level the playing field does anyone else struggle to get runs into all there horses

Has for the Bumpers I had two horses for the bumper but decided after a few runs they had no chance of winning a race so put them over hurdles the field sizes are been shrinking since the start as trainers see you mopping them up lol and that's the sad thing you have great bumper horses but that's one race a week that's 13 runs behind you and Jims horses that's why the sizes have gone dowmn trainers have switched them and that's why I think Leon's Idea allowing Novices I would Say Juveniles Only can switch between both. Re: Bumper Races at Aintree Week 11
If u let 4yo hurdlers in then u should use the rule like real life where u can only run in 4 bumpers, then one horse couldn't dominate all the races and u would need to pick and choice what races to go for.
