Post Objection to Sharp Reply: STEWARDS DECISION
The horse has ran within the rules. However it was stated before the league started that any trainer deliberately running their horses over the wrong distance would incur a weight penalty. This has not happened?

What do other trainers who had a runner in the Wokingham think? Its an interesting topic. We don't want trainers uploading horses this week deliberately running them over the wrong trip then to win a handicap when entered at the correct one.

I agree with Matt the way its been done u have to ban the horse but before another new season starts we have to change the rules, it should be bans for this kind of thing putting extra weight on is not going to stop it

This is the only consideration to be taken into account.

Races:

7f Maiden
8f Handicap (No 7f or 6f handicaps available)
7f Handicap (Horse ran in snatches) (you can view the race if you want). It needed a strong pace, which it didn't get.
6f Handicap (No 7f races)

This horse is actually better at 7f, if you watch the Wokingham, he flew inside the final furlong.

I haven't broken any rules. Almost all trainers run over different distances. I ran the horse at its best distance in the maiden.

Upon investigation of the objection the steward(s) have taken the decision to allow the result to stand.

However, Teleprompter’s posts have highlighted to the steward’s the possibility of foul play. Due to this the stewards will be closely monitoring the running of Teleprompter’s horses for the remaining league season, and future ones. The stewards reserve the right to suspend Teleprompter’s horses from running at any point from week 6 onwards for an amount of time seen fit by the stewards, and the president. If there is any indication that foul play has occurred either by Teleprompter, or by the entering and subsequent running of their horses, the stewards will not be required to give a reason for the suspension other than those detailed above.

The horse has not won by the 5 lengths indicated by Teleprompter, in the view of the stewards it has won due to staying on as others were fading. If however, the horse does win a handicap by an extended distance the run will be investigated by the stewards and handicappers and the horse may be disqualified. All investigations of this type will be on-going.

Please be civil to each other on this forum as this league is primarily for fun and some banter, discussion and competition. REMEMBER IT IS A GAME! Banter is fine, but hints that you have been deliberately running horses over incorrect distances, or accusations of such will be investigated and all parties will be kept under close supervision.

I Fully support the stewards in the decision they have come to
the rules were not broken
maybe this shows up that the current distance rules are a little inadequate
i think any distance rule would show up issues the only way round that is a 1 distance rule
but then again not many would like that but there would be no way to abuse the lge
anyway future discussion is required on distance rules for future seasons
