Re: quest for the holy grail
well looking at your times I'd guess you're caught up to me or gone past a little. if it's any consolation you seem to have hit the wall I have.

Re: quest for the holy grail
It's not quite so easy when you get this close. Jalupen has picked one of the harder ones imo. The ones I would be confident of getting would be 7/8/10f. the 5/6f ones feel harder having been trying to break these off and on for the last few months.

Definitely worth doing and I'll hope your experience is different from mine.

Re: quest for the holy grail
been off for a while but had a few last night the new stock are beating the old stock but I don't seem to be able to get a decent time out of them whats that all about?hitting 1.10.4/5 haven't seen anything close to earlier screenshots but on the plus side have seen a few quality 7f/1m horses.
the quest continues........(after I have moved,nearly there)

Re: quest for the holy grail
hope the move is going well.
that's part of the reason I've found 5/6f times the hardest to get down. the only way for me to run close to 1:10 is to have a very favourable wind. the new horses are better than the old when you run them together but as you have found the times stay the same. I'm seeing consistent 1:10:35-1:10:45 and that's been the case for pretty much everything I've bred at 6f since Jan.
5f is the same for me too. I'm kinda stuck at 57:7ish. incredibly consistent but a real pain when you're hoping to see times fall.

the quest continues........(after I have moved, nearly there) keep going mate i have hit a brick wall and accidentally deleted the ttf file so have had to start 3 gens back which to be honest i was going to do anyway as the lines had gone very stale it really is frustrating breeding/racing/trialing season after season for a minuscule improvement i ignore all times were favourable wind because they ae false times i think with wind behind you its a false time by around 0.20 secs one of my filly ran with >>> wind behind her and clocked 137.02 her average best was between 137.20 - 23

Re: quest for the holy grail
im back ....finally internet took forever to connect the kids have actually been speaking no gadgets to play with haven't had much time to continue the quest(sick to death of 6f horses if im honest) so have been breeding the 7f/1m horses that were thrown up by my sprinters and to my surprise they are much better than any of my genuine milers will be back on the trail from today
keep the faith......
