Post Re: Weekly Reaction
Wow I've had one of my best week's ever. It's shocking because I genuinely didn't think I'd be that competitive this season and I've bred so few horses since March and I've only bred about 200 flat horses that I thought I would really struggle. It's been a shock but a nice shock.

Shady Heights 5th, cant see him winning a race so I'll have to bring a horse in for him.
Love Returning 3rd, gets behind and runs late, hopefully she'll win a race.
Warning 1st, another who gets behind but runs fast and late. A fun horse for the season.
Bollin Eric 3rd, wants to get some soft ground to show his best.
Somethingaboutlaura 1st, number 2 in my stayers so will try to win the lower rated stayers races. Stays all day.
Lime Gardens 3rd, another solid run but gets behind and struggles to make up the ground.

Post Re: Weekly Reaction
Probably the most informative week I've had so far in 2 seasons. 8 Horses in the top 5 and some now have some very interesting marks to work with. Wont be worrying the group1 guys but definitely a big improvement, expecting a better week next week too.

I finally hit the board (win wise) with 3 winners and a second. I grabbed a stakes only after noticing the weak field at the very last minute. My 83 rated horse walloped a 115, 104, 103 and 102 rated horses on good ground at even weights. :?

I got the jumping bug! I really thought Apollitical Jazz was going to steal one but such a great run! Will drop in distance slightly for next week but a flat horse turned jumper that may take a few races at the handicap level this year. Definitely better over fences.

Doug's Comms were classic brilliant stuff

Sir Alfred Noble
He was well handicapped after a few average runs during the first 2 weeks

Post Re: Weekly Reaction
Flat
R5 Roman Holiday (5th) - Great effort in the Guineas tho not really sure what to make of the race. With no early pace it developed into a bit of a sprint and most runners finished in a heap behind the winner.
R6 Raging Buffalo (7th) - Outpaced over his best trip 10f on debut and outpaced again over 12f. This was my best horse in the race builder but struggling to see where to go from here.
R9 Volunteer (1st) - Weakened badly over 11f in wk1 so ran over 10f in wk 2 and got outpaced. Trainer finally got the distance right and won well. Good ground also helped.
R10 Velvet Underground (1st) - Looked well in again this week after winning in wk2. Might find things tougher from now on.

NH
R1 Olimpia (3rd) - Great effort to place and might improve again over an extra 1f or 2.
R2 High Top (9th) - Ran well for a long way and at least he completed the course this time.
R3 Daylight Robbery (7th) - Ran ok. Might need a drop in grade and trip.
R4 Leatherface (6th) - Ran much better than expected and will be better over a bit further.
R5 Fairy King (4th) - Trip probably stretched his stamina a bit too much and heavy ground wasn't ideal either. Great effort under top weight.
R6 Imhotep (4th) - Objective was to qualify for the Pertemps final so I think 4th might be good enough to do just that.
R7 Classic Example (13th) - Ran well for a long way but got very tired last 1f.
R8 Brown Sauce (17th) - Got outpaced and could never get into the race. Lanzarote Hcap Hurdle in wk 8 looks an ideal race for him.
R9 Fool On The Hill (6th) - Probably the poorest horse in my stable but has run another solid enough race. Might do better over an extra 1f.

Congrats to all winners and placers

Only had two runners today and they were over jumps but two winners.

Run to Lauras Hill 1st, nice H'cap win but doesn't look good enough for the RSA.

Rachaels Dawn 1st, also nice to get of the mark but no big plans will try to win another race.

Congrats to all the winners today.

YES! GET IN! Pinch Hitter wins the 2000 Guineas!

A case of David Vs Goliath. It's always that extra bit special to beat the try hards in one of the biggest races of the league.

It was such a great win from the front. I think that's my first Group 1 winner too.

Post Re: Weekly Reaction
Much better couple of days for me as I thought, couple of winners today, an unlucky not to pick up a couple more

Iowan Petrarch - As predicted, likely to find it's level in the higher H'capps maybe a listed. Poor placement on my part, may have ruined it's mark

Iowan Bothwell - Convinced this is better than that Guineas form suggests, may pick up a group 3 or listed if it can get a bit of pace in the race

Nebraskan Morcon - Fancied this in these conditions, won nicely off top weight, if it can get a bit of pace on soft ground in a group race I don't think it will be far away

Iowa zabara - Once again, needs some pace, had no chance once this was slow, but liely to persevere in group races looking for pace

Seattle laughs - fancy the season is over for this one in good quality races, handicap mark will determine where it goes now

Nebraskan Pepper N Salt - has there been a better write up this season? If she gets home she wins, goes clear with a furlong to go an nailed on the line lol. Will be a decent sort in 1m1 races i think

Nebraskan Lear Spear - I really fancied this, thought it had it too, has clearly came up against a very good horse in Shady heights for Mr Morgan, both clear, definitely has a reasonable race in it

Indiana Rythmn - The rating for this was as ridiculous as i thought in my notes it seems, won with anything in hand, could be there or there abouts in some higher rated races I think

Iowan Isinglass - No idea where to go with this, it needs to be very handy but keeps detatching, still think it has a race in it, may need a 7.5f tho

A Blank again on the Flat i really should have concentrated on my NH team  who are boxing well
above there weight 3 more winners today congratulations to Peter on his classic win

Sally Army
Makes it 2 wins from 3 starts fell in the other she looks a prospect for the queen mum
won the PWC G3 chase well with a well timed run.

Ruler of Minsk
Placed in bumpers the first 2 weeks and she finally got her head in front i already have a much
better transfer replacement coming in in week 5 so good to see her get to the winners enclosure.

Illustrious
another who made it 2 wins from 3 starts taking the listed Dublin Coast Inn Hurdle by over 2 lengths
not sure she is World Hurdle class but will be having a crack at it.

Many thanks to the team
congratulations to the winners and placers
thanks again for the great comms lads

Post Re: Weekly Reaction
Monday Flat

just two runners

Sole Power Second going to be hard to find a race now rated 116 maybe G1H in week 13
Lope Arms Like Horse above Second Can't get into Handicaps can't win Group Races Needs a Branded Rated Race maybe or More G1H through the season.

Monday Jumps No Winners

Race 1 Until Dawn 4th Good Run will find a place somewhere so to get a win soon Pauls Horse Wolfetone looks Classy
Race 2 Dust To Dawn Needs to Drop a few more pounds will be able to win a Handicap soon
Race 3 Brenda Lee my best 3mile Chaser who was going to Down Royal but i switched her to this race and again fails to stand up will now tackle the Hennesey well in on the weights just needs a clear round of Jumping.
Race 4 Copper Bottom 4th another sound run win just around the corner.
Race 6 Ruby Tuesday been disappointing exit door week 5?
Race 7 New Approach 3rd good run i can see the Neptune at Cheltenham is still the plan.
Race 8 Celtic Son 2nd good run another who will win a Handicap soon
Race 9 Comfort Zone failed to finish might try a hurdle race next.
Race 10 Petite Etoile Unplaced will win a race soon.

Tuesday Flat Blank again a second with Llandrindod Lopes was the best from 5 runners

Tuesday Jumps

Two wiiners with a Grade 1 Chase with Misbeat Great win plan was staying Handicap Hurdles some what of a surprise but really won that well i agree with Martin it was a funny race i don't think any of the horses where front runners or Handy types and i think Pauls Horses was the horse who payed the penalty but i am happy with my first Grade 1 winner this season and he's still going for a stayers Hurdle but will also go to Kempton Park again on Boxing Day for the King George.

In The Flash My Banker followed up in race 17 the mirror chase thought it was well handicapped and scrapped home of the others Promising Ashan run will to finish second Elbio had its last run in Bumpers and now will go hurdling.

Week 3 Day 1

Flat

Boldy Going - 7th, always outpaced, knew she needed further.

Breaking Glass - 4th, wandered around at the back as is his way, some late headway but not the pace of the winner.

Storm Rising - 9th - A little challenge before fading away at the business end.

Jump

The Mentalist - 5th. Plodded at the back before moving up to midfield and finding no room. Pushed on one paced, eased when beaten. OK run.

Hope and Glory - 15th. Ran at the back, jumped poorly, finished at the back. Poor showing today.

The Estate - 9th. Bad trainer decision to enter into this with such high weight, should have gone G1, never in it.

Hush Puppy - 7th. Ran well enough, kicked early and I thought he may go on, but run down by better horses.

Gloria Slap - 15th. Ran at the back, left all to do and never really featured. On the cards for retirement.

Battleship - 8th. In and out run, faded when it mattered, 3m team is struggling.

William Coconut - 9th. Stayed with early but faded when it mattered.

Xternal - 1st G3 Handicap. Ran an absolute blinder, ideal run start to finish and really benefitted from a good last jump. Season objective was to win a graded race, mission acomplished from an unexpected source. Delighted.

The Ghost - 7th ran around last (sodding drop out horses) too much to do and never really able to challenge despite a little late headway.

Rabbling Rebel - 8th Never really in it, one for the cut group in week five.

Week 3 Day 2

Flat - Need to loose a little more weight with my jump cast off's, before I figure we can make some handicap impact.

Solent Green - 6th. Ran lethargically at the back of the field, picked up a little in the closing stages.

Crystaline - 7th. Ran and stayed at the back, never a factor. Should have sent chasing is good at 2.4f, maybe back for that next season.

High Tide - 8th. Midfield run, minor challenge before fading.

Sea of Tranquility - 9th. 2000 G runner for a little interest, ran better than expected in this oddly run race, unlikely to be seen much more this season, not worth wasting a retirement on.

Enders Shame - 8th. Prominate early but weakened.

Hugh Jengine - 15th. Back, midfield, no challenge no talent, weakened.

Fine Puzzle - 9th. Disputed lead for a little while before fading away.

Disposed Ingleby - 4th. Good maiden run here, solid start, stayed on well, by far my best 2YO.

Jump

Affairs of State - 7th. Started slowly, progressed into midfield, but stayed on largely one paced. OK run.

Slim Chance - Fell again, hoping to shed that 135 rating now :) Though she is not bad when she stays upright.

Coconut Shy - 1st. Put in the type of performance we see from her at home, well timed challenge and turn of foot, though was without doubt aided here by jumping mistakes and a largely snatcy run from youlneverwalkalone.

Indian Summer - 5th. Prominant for most of the race, led for a spell but did not push on, but stayed well enough. Question remains for when the ground starts to go against her.

The Stunner - 4th. Remains something of a disappointment, though she ran well just not quite the pace of the winner today.

Around DBX - Fell. Stable 3m+ look rather average right now, needs to show me something else or it will be a handicap future only.

Casual Mist - 4th. Another who ran well without really troubling the leading three, holds loose world hurdle aspirations but merely for a run and that she is the best I have.
