Hi Steve i think all the above ideas are great
I think a group of people instead of 1 president is a really good idea
I have the time to get involved Hate talking about myself but was retired due to ill health few years back(but i m still here) :P
so without going into it in detail i have the time to get involved in some sort of role i also run my own website and am getting involved
with a project with a well nown breeding operation but thats a while down the line but appart from that i am more than willing to give time to the lge i put alot of time in to writing previews last season
anyway would be happy to fill some sort of role

Good to see Leon offering his services deltanion Keenan & simpleminds too things seem to be moving forward

I would like to offer my services to the NH side maybe race Secretary I have plenty of spare time these days as I give up my postie job a few years ago to be a full time carer this does not mean I'm busy 24/7 I have loads of spare time and is online daily I like all of your ideas East pier Whitby I think leonvr good be a good addition for Vice president on the NH and I would like Hemz to maybe the Nh President as he was the main man on that side and he also as already shown here he as good ideas.

PJ should be given a chance on the Flat side as he is also available and is committed to a League's future as I am with the NH side I don't know who you had problems in the past either East Pier Whitby i'm sure you would get a lot of support from people to run it if you could.

Just like to say one thing at least with East pier we would have someone who will sort out any should problems just in case of Cheats

It's good to see people coming forward for the NH roles.

Most people know i'm not bothered about the UK league. My passion same has Paul's (RIP buddy miss our Skype chats), was to make the NH league fun and enjoyable.

Personally the schedule for the NH is about 85% right just needs some small tweaks here and there. It caters for all levels and i believe rich saying we had 20+ graded winners last season and 10+ G1 winners from different stables. That's a balanced schedule in my eyes.

Thanks for the vote of confidence Simpleminds.

Honestly if i was still playing the game and had a stable ready to kick ass i'd run things for the NH guys. Not sure if i can commit for the role, i've lost my passion for the game specially S05, which for me is S04 with a minor face lift. Really thought Mark would have pushed the league functionalities more and made it less time consuming for online league players. That's why we have lost some of the veterans from the league me included. Lets hope S06 takes this series to the next level.

This is not a dig at Mark by any means, i've loved the series and still do. Just thought S05 could have been much better.

I think Leon will be great for the President or VP role, Delboy been here before he can do the bookies side if DD has implemented this function in the new TOM.

In my opinion it needs 2 people to do the races each Sunday. Unless someone has 2/3 hours spare?!? What some used to do was skip with using SPACE BAR to the last half furlong. This for me having trailed races 1000s of times did give inconsistent results. I found using TAB and skipping to last 3 furlongs made for more consistant results and made doing the Races far more quicker than watching them from start to finish.

The new schedule was brilliant, dont know why you'd get rid of that. As for the new rules I didn't want to reduce the stable size as much as Rich, but his ideas were very good. It would have meant that one trainer could not dominate every division which can only be a good thing?

Two presidents is a good idea and the NH needed some work anyway to put in some of the new races etc.

If Steve is getting involved again then I will offer a hand. I was involved with the handicapping (very minor role) in the SO3 league. Though I have had nothing to do with the SO4 or SO5 leagues I'm back at home at the moment after being really sick over Christmas and having to drop out of uni.

So I don't have loads of time because I'm still not well, but I will help with whatever. I know a fair bit about UK flat and jumps so I'll help with either, or both sides. I'm happy to help with any presidential or vice presidential roles, but with my very limited league experience I would't suggest that I would be appropriate for either of the full roles.

So if you want my help get in touch and I'll do whatever I can. :)

Hi Supercat.

Sorry to hear you haven't been well.
Basically it would be up to the new president if they want me involved.
My inclusion would be on the basis of using my schedule.
Rich schedule was okay, but a little too weighted towards group racing. Mine would be heavily weighted towards handicaps. But would cater for group racing also.
I would be prepared to do the handicapping for my schedule only.
To work it would need flat racing stables of 30.
I would also regulate nominations - a rule book would be produced re nominations, distances etc.
Your help in doing any of these would be great.
The newsletters would also be included.
As I say, I would have to work with the new president, and they would have to be okay to let me implement ALL the above ideas.
I also think you and a few others (PJ, Keenan) would make excellent contributions as part of a development team.

Take care.

Steve all sounds totally amazing 100% behind these ideas excellent for newbies especially
can we all agree that the above ideas are great and start moving forward because to me its perfect very impessive

So Basicly we are now looking for someone with experience to be president to work along side you Steve

Cath in your recovery get well soon mate

Ok basically steve would do it if we can get a president he can work along and vice versa so is someone out there who as work behind the scenes before and can work with steve ?

Please put yourself Forward we have all put names forward what we need is someone to jump in and say yes I will and can do it (please make sure you have time on your hands) and if we get two or three names and steve says yes I can work with these people we could have a vote to pick the new President.

then we can look for vice presidents etc.

Hi All

Shame to see Rich is no longer part of the league and also a shame that neither Hemz or Hooley (seemingly) are in a position to take over the NHC league; the NHC league was great whilst I was involved and has the potential to be even better and so I would definitely agree that there should be a NHC president (what about Jamie?) and a UK president (looks like this should be Steve).

Hope you guys get the league up and running soon and are all well.

Btw for the record I agree with Craig (Hemz) that the league needs to be considered more for SO6 - I know Mark keeps his distance from the league but it is clearly a growing side of the game and an increasingly popular platform both for Starters Orders and gaming in general; people want online multiplayer and the league is extremely enjoyable and drives sustained enjoyment behind the game in my opinion. Unfortunately SO5 did not improve on the league side of things at all e.g. having no export all button, very inconsistent ck trialling and also inconsistency and unpredictability over quality of game horse and league potential.

Take care all

The NH league doesn't need much work doing tbh. The only thing which has been said countless times is getting a Handicapper or 2 for it.

Just a shame about S05 in general, otherwise i would have got a great team together for this league.

Ryan good to here from you mate. How's the baby and parenting going? I'm off down Cheltenham this year for full 4 days, will you be making the trip this year?

Btw are you on Twitter?
