I think there are some things that still need adding to or updating on TOM and then we can look into betting more. Though Leon would be able to tell you more. akhc wrote: Matt's got some nice horses for sure. I don't know about the gold cup as I have nothing to compare his horses against. For the Melbourne, I'd say it's going to depend on the weight carried as I fancy a few trainers will have a chance there actually. TBH I think he's got better chances at a grade 1 race elsewhere. It will depend on the weight. I ran two horses in week 1 at tracks they both trialed badly at. I have to hope that they do the same in their maidens and that the jockeys can pull them without making it too obvious. And what is your best Chance, Andy? Right i've said too much. I look forward to the banter after the results tomorrow.

Probably Spring Cup but more for the lack of entries than any other reason or the Fuzzy Roughness Maiden where again there aren't many entries.

Re: UKRA Trainer Talk Reaction & Banter
Well, against all odds after some flakey trialling and no jumps game i've managed to come up with a winner, apparently. Not being able to see the races yet (Mac replay issues) I have no idea which horse, which race. I just know it's neither of the two races which Leon reviewed.
Can anyone be a hero and tell me which race, horse and winning distance? Sorry to be a pain.
If anyone could youtube the race as well then i would forever be in your debt.
To make it easier locating the winner I only had five runners. Below...
2 Mark Loveday Maiden Bruno Wizard Market Rasen Novice Maiden Chase 2m soft 4 Weathercock Stables Maiden Cultured Toby Market Rasen Maiden Chase 2m1f soft 5 Timmergreens Maiden League Wizard Market Rasen Maiden Chase 2m4f soft 7 Sandhills Stables Maiden Bruno Adamay Market Rasen Maiden Hurdle 2m4f soft 1 Paul Moores National Hunt Championship Maiden Alderman Cashmere Bruno Market Rasen Maiden Hurdle 2m soft

Re: UKRA Trainer Talk Reaction & Banter
Thanks Sirius, really appreciate it.
Wow, did not expect that. Champion Hurdle here we come! He's the only horse that i don't need to watch the replay with... if i remember rightly from the CK he probably went out hard from the start and never stopped running. Have to say i'm surprised he didn't get caught on soft ground.
Really happy. 5 runners, 1 win, 4 unplaced. Going to add a load more to my jumps stable as only have a few in there.

Re: UKRA Trainer Talk Reaction & Banter
No problem. Know nothing of good jump horses but I thought the performance was visually impressive. Congrats.

Re: UKRA Trainer Talk Reaction & Banter
Looking ahead to week 3 entries. Runners in both 1000/2000 Guineas. Also both Grp 3 Chester races preparing for Epsom though not sure 11f suits Yima but Arani who could cover that is off to the Musidora Stakes so needs must. Taran running in the Kentucky Derby of course and is sure to do the Preakness but definitely not the Belmont. Also in for the Palace House Stakes with Domnu (and another showdown with the older horses and I'd hope she does as well as Gerra did last time out in the Al Quoz). Nehebka (pulled up with injury in maiden run) will be running in the G2 Duke of York. Risky but I think she will do alright in what essentially is a G2 Maiden outing. Elsewhere one of my earliest bred horses Khamsin is running in a 7f maiden. Also Atoja is running in the Silver Bell handicap at Haydock (a first for me!). Loved reading Paul's newsletter (thanks for all the hard work) ! Disagree that Taran can do the US Triple Crown given how competitive the league is. The US is the likeliest achievable triple given the shortest spread of distance between all 3 races and I think it could be doable if the right horse was bred. Might look at breeding one such for the next season of the league. NAP - probably Taran. NB - Toss up between Tatosi (if the Cheshire Oaks had been run over 12f I'd have said Yima for sure) and Hatasa (1000 Guineas) who had a fantastic run last time out at 7f.
