Re: FAO All Trainers: A message regarding the UKRA League
Just an idea- for particularly contentious issues- I don't really understand the current arguments having not been on much lately- why not have a straight poll/vote? This would lead to a clear conclusion and people will have to accept it

Re: FAO All Trainers: A message regarding the UKRA League
This is something definitely under consideration Ubar, but the problem with a poll with no ability to discuss is that people are unable to get their points across in an effective manner, and we could end up going down the wrong route.
A poll could be a way of gauging the feeling on a particular subject, and once results are in and conclusive a thread could be opened for discussion between trainers.
As I say things are still in early stages and plans moving forward are still in their infancy, but we will be putting plenty of consideration over the best way to move forward with things.

We did a poll before and it still descended into anarchy. Some people are just never happy, good luck with it!

Re: FAO All Trainers: A message regarding the UKRA League
Polls on here come with discussion attached- the problem is people disagreeing on here always seemso lead to petty insults- I think if a vote says one thing, that's how it should be. If possible have questions with only 2 choices so a clear majority can be established

The reason you divide opinion is because you (and others) were caught cheating, the consequences of which brought down the league, caused numerous staff members to resign, and several top veteran trainers to quit never to return. For this reason I'm not comfortable with your appointment especially if part of your responsibility is to check the horse files for cheaters, however if that is Mark's responsibility then that would bring some relief.

This would be news to me if True I wasn't here in the early days so I can't Comment I would like Jamie to reply to this message if he wouldn't Mind. Gray

Re: FAO All Trainers: A message regarding the UKRA League
I believe it was swapping horse files and then breeding from them. I think it was years ago and at the time wasn't illegal. Since then Jamie has entered many leagues without "cheating"
Another trainer involved is probably the most respected member of this forum and would not deliberately look to cheat and nor would Jamie.
I am biased towards both of these individuals, but for very good and real reasons.

Thank you Matt being President of Ukra Flat doesn't make him able to cheat if he wanted to he doesn't not Run the races at the Moment Me and Kev do so this should not count against him being Flat President I am happy with him being flat president like you said this was in the past but perhaps he should just tell the new trainers what it was all about then we can move on Leon as full control and the Race Kit Can now pick up on something that is not right. Re: FAO All Trainers: A message regarding the UKRA League
I have only been involved with the lge in a big way for the last 2 seasons i did try it in 07 or 08 but gave up after a week i did not know about who was involved in the cheating as i never even used to read the online lge discussions but did hear rumors of it going on. I suspect all involved were suspended and have served their time i have always believed in life everyone deserves a second chance i have always respected Jamie as a poster as a level headed decent person we all make mistakes in life i know i have made some whoppers in my time and some of which i am not proud i am sure we are all the same He has my support we all deserve a 2nd chance

Re: FAO All Trainers: A message regarding the UKRA League
Hex editing is editing the binary of a file, heard that some people were editing horse files, in theory if you could find the bytes that determine how good a horse is you could change them, you would need to be good with all that stuff tho, its not easy.

And if it never went public were you in a position to know the "loads that never went public" is true? And what was this? I knew those that exposed the cheating very well and they kept me informed of what was going on and how long it was going on for, that was the shocking thing about it. You see there had been falling outs amongst the cheats so some decided to tell those that exposed the cheating what had been going on. No point in going into specifics, if you go back through the threads on this board you can read about some of it, that's if it hasn't all been deleted. As for me I just want my question answered.

As for me I still want to know who is responsible for running the horse files through the cheat checking software.
