I presume any horse returning (1 year older of course) that has already won is not able run in this seasons maidens?

Also are the distance spread rules the same as last season?

Thanks

Returning horses will get their rating / maiden status etc from last season. NH horses will not be novices.

This only be done after entries close on Saturday night. So if you enter a winner in maiden race/ a non novice in a novice race they will be scratched.

Distance spread rules are the same except for one change. If a horses best run is over 2 miles or further it will be eligible for all races over 2 miles and 2 furlongs under its best distance run if this falls under 2 miles.

For example best run is 2 miles then horse can run in any race from 1m6 to 2m5.

best run 2m2 then can run from 2m to 2m5

best run 2m4 then can run from 2m to 2m5

If you can't enter your horse in a race its more then likely because of the distance rules

NH rules are the same

Ok thanks Leon.

I have also noticed that at the moment I can enter colts/stallions in mares races. I presume this will get sorted after the entries close as well?

By the way excellent job with TOM, it is a huge improvement this season. Your work is very much appreciated

Thats a schedule / database error. Which races. I just checked a few but couldn't find one and I don't have time to go through all of them

In the national hunt side races 2, 3, 4, 7, 16, 24 and 31.

I think it is actually all the mares races

Don't worry its a simple database query that will easily find all duplicates. Will take about 5 minutes to find all returning horses if that long. I have already written the query
