Post Re: FLAT SCHEDULE 2014
Off the top of my head both Nick Driver and Follis have both said on this forum that they have really struggled for races this season. So I would guess there aren't enough handicaps.

Now you dont need three trials for the 2000 Guineas when at the same time there aren't any low class handicaps at all. Do you think that is fair on the lesser trainers?

And if Supercat didn't keep deleting my posts then I had explained more what races should go. Also get rid of the Ormonde stakes as the Yorkshire Cup is only .5f different. Again replace it with a low grade handicap over a suitable distance.

Why dont you look at the low grade races and also how many 70-90 rated horses have been running in Group races ALL season because of the complete lack of handicaps at their level.

Could you point out to me what races a new trainer has to aim for in week 2 please? There are multiple Listed and Group races from 7-10f but no low class handicaps. I dont think that is catering for everyone.

Week 1 and Week 2 are mostly Maiden races and as always been that way tell you what I will do I will cut half of Meydan or Half the Maiden Races turn them into Handicaps? and we will have horse's well handicapped on just one run I wanted being the handicapper get horses properly Handicapped with two runs.

So Matt what races do you want me to cut in Week 2 and what races should replace these races.

Post Re: FLAT SCHEDULE 2014
Everyone needs to speak up if they think some things need to change on the schedule. Gray needs u advice otherwise how does he know if there's a problem. I cant speak on this subject because I've only had about 5 runners in H'caps this season so I don't know if there's a problem.

So to all the trainers that had lots of runners in the h'caps need to come in here and tell Gray what they think and how they think they can improve the schedule.

Post Re: FLAT SCHEDULE 2014
Some weeks have been an issue placing horses in appropriate races but I have got a full stable of 20 so this is to be expected.
However, personally I would like to see more handicaps as I will have more chance of winners. This is purely selfish though.
My flat horses will never be great as I concentrate much more on the jumps.
More handicaps - yes
At the expense of maidens in week 2 - probably not

Thanks ghost it helps when more trainers say what they think and Follis every little helps it is pointless to do everything down to one person matt is very Active on the schedule but he's not the only person I need to have opinion on if its to be a fair and just schedule.

On that point Matt's suggested to get rid of The Ormonde Stakes at Chester I can do this and put in a Handicap leave it at 1m 5f or switch to 1m 7f 3Plus Or anybody else wants to see something else

can see where people are coming from but purely from a selfish point I have only 3 horses rated under 113 where do they run ? the other 3 are 110 105 103 what about adding a few more races onto the existing schedule and tweaking the one we have? perhaps 12 a day surely 36 races per week will please everyone if this is feasable

With the New All Weather Champions day being run next season I would like to offer the flat league a New All Weather Champions day (HANDICAP'S) final days for low rated handicap horse's maxi rating final 0-100 this will take place in Week12.

Your opinions are welcomed before setting out on the Plan views will be most Welcomed.

Great Idea

Perhaps u should have to run three times also. So only genuine 0-100 run in them. Also have more races than in real life, there's only six races perhaps have nine races.

6F 3+ £250,000
7F 3+ £250,000
1m 3+ £250,000
1m2F 3+ £250,000
1m4F 3+ £250,000
1m6F 3+ £250,000
2m 3+ £250,000

6F 2yo £200,000
8F 2yo £200,000

It gives all the smaller horses something to aim for.
