Updated entries for week 10

Seeing as the it's mud at Longchamp, had to make a few changes to the original entries. Yima gets the nod over Tatosi now for the Arc. Nehebka goes in the Abbaye and Ruhanga is unchanged for the Prix Chaudenay. Domnu will now have to find some other G1 to try and win!

As the ground is soft at Curragh, Suleviae runs instead of St Leger winner Anyigba.

3 of the week 5 uploads in action at 7/8f Group races. Manavi running in the G1 7f Foret after I toyed with the idea of running her in a handicap but the only available 0-110 handicap is next week at 9f and she ran her first race at 7f. Have no wish to be accused of bending the rules and I know she's a group horse anyway. Korobona goes in the G1 8f Sun Chariot and surely I must win 1 G1 7/8f race before the end of the season? :D

2 year olds get their first G1 races of the season (10 weeks in!). Lassair unbeaten in Group starts and hopefully wins her first G1. Aganju/Khamsin should also be in the running for their first G1 starts of the season.

A pretty full list (12 entries) after a quiet 2 weeks (less than 10 entries). Really looking forward to the Arc/Abbaye.

In previous leagues have there ever been instances of someone having entered two or more trainers in the league. With a motive of running pacemakers in races to set up a race for their other trainer horses? Or multiple trainers colluding with each other to run a pacemaker or speed type horse to benefit the other trainers entrant? Are there safe guards against this? Is it possible that shenanigans are afoot in the current league? :?:

There have been lots of shenanigans in the past :). Have a browse through old pages in the online league discussion. There was the scandal where trainers were swapping ttf.dat files. There was some editing of horse files so that trainers had the same horse running under two different names to name a few.

FWIW I haven't got any vibes about this going on this time around. Certainly I don't think any two trainers are colluding on the flat to have a faster pace. There are some trainers where their horses tend to run a certain style for sure. Mikey and DocHay come to mind as two whose horses tend to race handy and most of their entries will provide a degree of pace in the league.

If anything the pace has been at best variable IMO. Discarding 5/6f where pace doesn't matter, the 7/8f races have been wide open because of the lack true pace. At 7/8f, the pace isn't quite fast enough to have a consistent result. For these distances you probably need a 4f time of under 25s instead of the 25.5+ we are seeing which explains the variability. For 1m2f plus a pace of about 25.5-27 ish is probably quick enough so that the best horses will run the fastest times and that's one reason the results from 1.2f up have been a lot more consistent.

What triggered this line of thought?

None of the above is going on now because it is not possible
Mark has hugely improved the security in the software and detection
which i think is a good thing we at least want a fair lge for all

Just a conspiracy theory that crossed my mind after noticing entries of past, present and future races. I'm probably being a paranoid idiot as usual.

it is not possible to do this with SO5
there have been great improvements in the security

why on earth any1 would want to cheat in the online lge has always been beyond me
i think it takes a very very sad person to do that in fact such person(s) have serious issues if
they feel they need to cheat to win an online race as i say very sad state of affairs indeed but thankfully
all in the past thank god

I don't know nor want to know who was involved in that in the past

all i know is i personally get great fun out of the lge i
i actually enjoy other peoples success especially newbies as much as my own

i must say i have been really flukey on the NHC side this season as hardly any work went into it at all LUCK

the biggest issue with regards cheating was not what you mentioned Sirius but fiddling handicap marks and collusion in breeding.

Entering 2 stables would require more than 1 copy of the game, different ip addresses, different email addresses etc and is just not viable for a league run for fun so I'm 99% sure this will never happen.

The handicap rules have been tightened up and coded in so this is also less of an issue.

Mark has detection software in place for collusion in breeding so this is also not a big issue anymore.

Other things like cloning horses etc can be spotted easily.

The races are run fairly. The form of the horses gets updated after a run so the race can only be run once so this means this is all fair.

All in all the league is run fairly. ( Now if someone can let the AI jockeys know how to ride horses to instructions things will be even better )

well for starters i am very very dissapointed that this question should be raised at all as i for one have total faith in every one that has entered this year ( bar one exeption) as in real training trainers do enter horses to get a decent mark but with the 2F rule even that cannot be done properly as good horses will run well and its so easily spotted.
We will always get people who want to do things their way or no way however with pj at the helm we have had fairness all the way.and if any one is sad enough to cheat well i hope they do win their hollow victory of kudos lots of the old cliques have gone and this year IS the best i have taken part in and long may it continue.

Of course it is possible for one trainer to run a horse as a pacemaker for another. But I dont think its happening.

As for people entering two stables it is possible and we saw someone enter a small stable under a different name this season. Thats why im not about anymore and have lost interest in the league really.

Why we had stewards this season I have no idea as there is actually nothing they can do. No horse can run more than 2f outside of its best run so it makes the stewards redundant. If things are tightened up next season AND other rules about certain trainers either not entering or staying off the forum altogether then I might be interested again.

Was hoping to bring some big trainers back as next season as well.

Again Matt it comes over as you want things done your way or you will take your ball home
i was sad to see you leave but no one person is bigger than the lge
it was your choice to leave
and since then there has not even been a single argument on here or even a disagreement
as for bringing back BIG trainers they can come back if they want more the merrier but i don't think they need you to lead them here by the hand
and thats the way it sounds they won't come back unless you are here i apologize if it was not meant in that way it just has come over like that
as for the running of the lge me and leon get on well and we have a great thing going with Kev ANd Gray and all involved we all get on together it has run incredibly smoothly
in my opinion yes we have had teething problems but we are getting through them
i am more than surprised how well its gone and i am delight with alot of trainers getting winners
things can always be improved

i am sorry you have lost interest in the lge
of course that is your prerogative
but i don't think we should meet any (one) persons criteria to getting them interested again
that comes over as being very immature Matt it should always be about what the majority want
its not my intention to get into a slanging match with anyone too much of that happened in the past
and it did no good at all just feel i had to say my piece Matt i actually feel very let down and disappointed by you this season Matt
thats life
