 Re: Weekly Reaction
Two winners for me. Juventus With a solid run, and surprisingly Sparkling North nicked a win. That takes my tally to eleven wins for the season and that is way more than I expected. The target now have to be 15 wins in total, but I probably will jinx it when I set a target My NH team are absolutely shambles, something I have to look into for next season. None of my chasers finisihed a race I think. My horses competes best around the 80-90 mark, they are nowhere near listed or group company. But that gives me something to strive for next season. Well done all participants, and especially the team. Martins commentating is top notch. Wont be able to follow the next weeks streams because of holidays, but hope I can manage to enter my horses Have a great summer, everyone!

 Re: Weekly Reaction
Back down to earth after last weeks high.
Still looking for my first flat win of the season.
Roll on Cheltenham, didn't get a winner last season so would love to put that right this season
9 weeks down and the league is still running smoothly, a credit to all involved

 Re: Weekly Reaction
Well a nice finish to the week on the flat with "Keys" picking up its third win of the season over the marathon distance, but back out of its 0-90 range so will look for another race to come 6-7th and drop back down. Some unlucky runners in the lower handicaps, please oh please let there by an increase in jockey AI technology for S07 even 5% would make a vast improvement but we are all tarred with the same brush so swings & roundabouts I guess. Over the sticks, all bar "Libranno" carrying 12st over the 4.4f and giving 2st to everyone the rest were placed in some inadequate distances to keep the handicaps down for Chelts, although as we all have mentioned they are not handicaps so much anymore, when most of the fields are well out of the handicap, so not sure having any low rating will help eg. 136 rated horse carrying 6lb more than a 100 rated kinda makes a mockery of the handicap imo. I think this has become more an issue than before due to bigger fields, more trainers in the Hunt etc etc. and really needs looking into for next season... although not sure what the answer is, maybe we look at ranges 100-120 121-140 140 + etc. at least then Gray's hard handicapping work will actually mean something going forward. On that note, all in all 3 winners for the week, 2 weeks running so can't complain. Thanks again for all who take part & a big shout for the team..... Rumour has it that, outspoken trainer Mr Grey could be coming to a speaker/headphone near you very soon

 Re: Weekly Reaction
Well what was looking like one of my worst ever weeks, day 1 & 2 my donkeys were appalling, suddenly all changed on day 3. 2 wins and a second on the flat plus a second (agonisingly caught on the post) and 2 thirds over the jumps turned it into a successful week. I managed to win the leagues first ever seller but am still awaiting the million pound offer for the horse (am willing to negotiate). Congrats to all the winners and there were some thrilling races this week. See you all at Cheltenham. Darren

 Re: Weekly Reaction
Well a win and a 3rd on the flat for me on the first day - I am very happy with that! Some great finishes as well - an exciting first day. Good to see Doug's Fuzzy Screen win again - he really loves that 2000m trip

 Re: Weekly Reaction
Good opening day for me with three wins, two at Cheltenham. My festival banker Stay Another Day, delivered in the Arkle, one of a few of my horses who liked the ground, did not let me down on the day and another G1 jump for the stable. Hop Skip Jump, who also likes the going, finally replicated his trial form with an impressive run under weight in the Coral. He may have been aided by some wide rides from key opponents, but good regardless. Required Force, stole a lightly entered G2, some folks missed a trick here I think, but I'll take it.
Best two hopes for tomorrow are Judgement for Max, who regardless of form and some poor jumping has every chance of challenging for the Queen Mother on ground he'll be ok on, and I think Law of Consequence is due a big run in the Ryanair, again Regardless of patchy form.

 Re: Weekly Reaction
Cheltenham & some good prize money collected by "Kamikaze Fury" who was 2nd in the G2 mares race and followed up with two 4th places with Shadow Serve & Kings Desire both in handicaps. the rest really just made up numbers. The Flat, "Dirty Prawn" strikes again and picks up a 110 handicap which is high for me coming with a storming finish although was on a super light weight and with back to back wins should be given a decent rise in the weights now. In the Borough Cup "Double Cream" ran into trouble more times than I care to mention and thought if it had the run would of gone really close, waiting for that smaller field win. My only other flat runner "Cato Minor" no chance in a G2. Looking forward to day two & my hopefuls are "Dansili Blue" in R12 & in the Pertemps "Kimoko the Grey"p.s Sorry I waffled on so much in the review, spoke too fast & from inside a bin.... unaccustomed as I am to public speaking

 Re: Weekly Reaction
To put it simply the greatest day in my career in the league 6 winners 5 G1's & 2 of my horses kept their unbeaten records in tact 3 Cheltenham Festival winners so proud of the team.
Flat Dougs Fuzzy Screen Won his 4th race straight and wow how impressive he was now a 3 time G1 winner he was Awesome in the Irish Champion Stakes. Doug I think we avoid the Breeders Cup go for the English Champion Stakes and onto the Cox Plate as the dirt will be a complete unknown but will go with what you think.
This has to be the best horse I ever bred
 how to upload picture
News Round Also made it 4 straight the plan was always the Leger for her and she had a smooth trip and was given a perfect ride came with a lovely late run to win the classic not sure where i go with her now but its target well and truly hit.
Dame Helen Mirren She wins her 4th G1 having now won the Irish Guineas Kranji Mile Coronation Stakes & The Matron Stakes she came from behind to win I think its the first time she has done that usually wins from the front QEII could be next.
NHC
Un Des Shoe Cross Country specialist this was always the target for him and he did it very impressively he powered home late on and went away delighted with him have no idea where next for him the national is a possibility.
The Scene Just got up to win the grade one Neptune novices hurdle was a thrilling finish and this one was a complete surprise this is only her 2nd win.
Pandamonium Won the Grade One RSA chase i knew if she stayed upright she would take alot of beating there was no guarantees that she would jump round but once she got late in the race it looked good and she powered home making all a strong mare.
this day will live long in the memory
Thanks to all the team wel done the winners and placers especially at chelts great comms as always lads

 Re: Weekly Reaction
The 1st day was pretty uninspiring for my lot tbh. Rhubaarb ran well and picked up some prize money in the Close Bros Nov Hcap Chase while Major Catastrophe produced another solid effort finishing 6th in the Ultima Hcap Chase. A couple of fallers in Gold Rod and Ramses and another hugely disappointing effort from Holtz in the Coral Cup.
On the level, Fair Salinia somehow managed to sneak into 5th in the Sprint Cup and Ghosttrain just about hung on for a place in the nursery.
Well done all winners and placers.
