Re: UKRA Trainer Talk Reaction & Banter
Tell me about giving 2 stone away . Still it proves one thing. The league is too competitive to give even the slightest weight away. Yima gave up just 6lbs and really wasn't competitive in the Champions F&M stakes so the runners I had going off top weight in the G1 handicaps were never going to win but I wanted to see what the difference would be really as an experiment. I'll post a more comprehensive write up later about the week for me. PS. How's 1:10 coming along? I've only been trying to break that off and on since Jan with no success. PSS. If there was an antepost betting for whose likely to be challenging for the most G1 wins next season I'd have you down as my favorite

Versions of the truth carried top Weight to victory in Grand final 3 Delighted with Trojan Master this was the major 2yo target of the season for me so delighted Fantastic week

Re: UKRA Trainer Talk Reaction & Banter
I suspect more trainers will aim horses at the G1 handicaps next season. Acca Pulco was supposed to go for the Metropolitan, 1m6, off a mark of 90-95 but ran too well in her first maiden start so therefore has just ran in the British handicaps from 1m4-2m. I thought she was a certainty in the Ebor. I thought she'd win this week off 8st 5 but she will now struggle to win the Metropolitan after the way she won the Caulfield.
I think limiting the stable size has also meant that the top trainers cant hold back 10 horses for the G1 handicaps and this can only be a good thing. I have trained three horses for three of the races and am confident i will win two.

Fantastic week Yeah I noticed that you were carrying top weight and that Matt also wasn't keen to risk Feat Ping's unbeaten record . It was a great run by Versions but I really wish that race could be rerun privately with Feat Ping and the result sent to me please as I think it would be close.

I have trained three horses for three of the races and am confident i will win two. Well I won't be aiming for those even though I will have space to spare. I'm planning on dropping all the 2 year olds so there's 5 more slots. And I'm not sure how much of a lineup I will have for the 3 year olds next season either. Really haven't been putting in much game time and with Jalupen and Paul rapidly closing (if not ahead already) in the sprints and miler division I'll either have to drop the ones where I'm not competitive in or put some time in (which I'm not keen to do).
