I think that would take just as long as just implementing this new schedule.
I want to get two seasons in because the schedule might need some tweaking or we may need to make further improvements to TOM.

I dont blame you Dicey, becoming a bit of a joke.
How reverting to the previous set up of tom, when it worked perfectly, would take as long as its going to take to do the new set up of tom, I dont know. Considering no-one is even working on tom, let alone giving us a time period of when it will be running properly, I dont see how anyone could possibly say it would take just as long to basically copy and paste the script from last season.
Saying you want to get two seasons in Rich is no excuse, the time wasted now because of a simple schedule change is farsical. If there is still time for two seasons with the "new" schedule, then there was obviously more than enough time to do two seasons with last years schedule.
Ive backed Rich all the way and I do like him but it looks to me as if absolutely nothing is being done about this situation. You are talking about "might have to make improvements in tom" when at the minute, we dont even have anyone who can actually work tom. I dont really care anymore to be honest and im sure alot of people feel the same.
The old excuses about people being busy with their personal lives should not even be used. See if you dont have the time...dont take on the job...simple. Rich, if you have doubts that the new schedule "might need tweaking" why even take the chance? The new schedule cannot possibly be so much better that it is worth months and months of league racing. SO5 will be out soon for christs sake.
I think people would rather have two more seasons on SO4 and wait for tom to be uptaded once SO5 comes out.

Look its easy for us to sit here but do we really know the ins and outs of TOM? I'm willing to give Rich the benefit of the doubt. A little bit of grace here guys.

I dont understand all this.
So Dave is way too busy to fix TOM which is understandable. If he doesn't want to do it then who or what are we waiting on? This is insane. The league is still as it was 3 months ago with no change at all. There is still no date or where its headed so.....
I am done. Good luck everyone with the league. Maybe I'll be back when SO5 is out.

Hang in there Thunder, you will be a big lose to the league pal.
We already have people leaving which is not good at all.
4 months is a long long wait.
A decision needs to be made asap. This is taking far to long now.
Can we not pay COLM to sort it out and make it worth his while????

Well said DocHay, fully agree with your post.
I couldn't give a monkeys about the schedule, whatever happens it will never be perfect, never please everyone, and will always require modifications etc, last season's schedule is fine for now. Every suggestion put forward is immediately rebuked, it's ridiculous. Just go back to last seasons TOM and get the season started for goodness sake! This will give the programmer much needed breathing space and we can all get back to having fun, which is what this league is supposed to be about!!!! Rich your pursuit of perfection is making you a killjoy!

I agree with Hemz. Pay Colm/Dave to sort out TOM.
I will donate £50 to the cause.

Lets just shut the "Online League Discussion" part of the Forum down.
Until such times there is an online league, that way, we can all stop the "backstabbing" "abuse" "aspersions" etc etc....
Re-open when we have a firm date:
As to the rest who can't cope with waiting, go start up your own forum and fight amongst yourselves there....
Please, just give it a rest here it has become v.v.v.boring reading....

Good post, I know we've all put solid hours in, it can be frustrating as I have put over 12 hours of my life into getting a squad together for the league and I'm sure others have put more. IMO Rich done a great job last year under serious pressure to get it going after the big hoohah but it has been too long since the last league.
You can't just blame Rich though as he has said he can't do anything about it, it's all good offering to pay for people to sort TOM out but it is a tough operation and most people have much bigger priorities in their lives to sort out. You cannot just blame rich for something he has no power over, yes he could have done more but everyone could have done more in most aspects of their life and he has tried remember it was the pressure from you guys to get a new schedule in which has led to this delay! So don't blame Rich for something of your own doing!!. I do agree with a lot of Steve's points and does make sense but again the running off after a week then reappearing can get a bit silly sometimes.
I agree with Anadin but shutting the forum down could put a lot of people off and people putting the effort in might just not want to anymore with the constant clash of opinions. We need a date but tbh with the state you lot are placing this forum in at the moment I think this could be the death of the league. Just remember it's only a game!! There are other things more important you can be doing rather than waiting for this! I've realised this after constantly being on here and playing the game that there was much more important things I could be doing which is actually productive to society and then I can focus again when the league is running which is hopefully soon as my nags are kicking down the stable doors ready to get out, but I fear if you lot carry on as you are they may have to be put down!

Some people really don't get it. It is not a question of money.
Anyway, I've been away this weekend but hope to have a further update next week.
If you feel it's taking too long then I'm sorry you won't be taking part. Hopefully your horse files won't delete themselves before the league begins.
