 Re: League Weekly reaction
Another flat win for me today with Ashley Moor winning the nursery. That's 3 of my juveniles now winners.
The jumps was awful again. Hopefully Ukraine will go down in the weights before the national after running in heavy ground this week.
Well done all winners and placers

Decent 3rd from the xaggerated on Monday and another place in the 0-80 crap horse stakes from the master professor. Lots of wound in front runners that gave me hope until the last 2f

 Re: League Weekly reaction
Has anyone else studied the finish of Race 14 (flat). My horse Dashing Kenyan finishes fast down the outside and is listed as finishing second but I've watched the finish several times and she looks to finish third. I am not complaining but someone else appears to be missing out.

 Re: League Weekly reaction
My horse Robin Hood won race 14 and got thrown out. I think this might be the first time this season that a horse has been disqualified without an enquiry being called Good runs also over the first 2 days from Blue Flamingo, Dame Dolly who ran a cracker in the Yorkshire Oaks and Sahure. My jumpers continue to be useless though my stayers aren't helped by the racekit, half my runners were to no great surprise pulled up again in races 3m+ this week. Feels like the same thing happens every week.

 Re: League Weekly reaction
Flat -
Tiesto disappointed in R11 expected him to be closer. Badzilla down the field again and may get some respite from the hcapper and also Kizzire who was very disappointing when favourite. Outta nowhere comes Virakip though!!! A very consistent horse who has finished between 7th and 9th all season turns up and blitzes them for a cool £57,000 in prize money, very happy with that and his work is done for the season so he'll go G1 etc. Really happy at finally breaking into the top 10 after a shambolic performance without a winner last time in the league and back to where I hope to be!
NHC -
The Sun God disappointed with some poor jumping and won't go to Cheltenham. Key Of Caviar was excellent and may have won the Imperial Cup if not belting the last and will go to the Champion Hurdle. Hot Miss and Cantankerous poor as usual but Dom Santiago ran well in 3rd and goes to a hurdle somewhere at Cheltenham. Starzilla is god awful and Superb Caviar plodded on down the field in quite a tough race.
NH Ratings on the way.

I have never lost a race due to disqualification and I hope it never happens.

I've had 1 or 2 disqualified in previous seasons and have also been awarded a race after another trainer's horse got relegated. Not sure which is worse tbh. When I watched the race I did see the jockey on the horse next to mine stop riding about 2.5f out for a stride and just had that horrible feeling I might be in trouble if I win. I think the race runner hit the space bar before the 1,2,3, was shown which is probably why I didn't see the "stewards enquiry in progress" message.

I called the race and didn't notice - although I think I was distracted with the flying Dashing Kenyan who hit the line hard. From memory there were a few across the track. Lesson learnt here for the race runners

 Re: League Weekly reaction
Yes it was a bit confusing in the end, but I've made that mistake before as a race runner too.

 Re: League Weekly reaction
That horses pulling up problem has to be fixed. One of my horses has been pulled up 4 times now. I've had 12 horses in total pull up this season. Might as well not run any horse that has hold up tactics. It's an absolute joke.

 Re: League Weekly reaction
All my horses are hold up and I have had very few pull up. In your trials note the horses that pull up often and don't run them in the league. Its not a race kit problem it's normally the case of a horse not been good enough. I get rid of horses that pull up often in my trials. Also if a horse is jumping poorly or dislikes the ground there is a high chance it will get pulled up

 Re: League Weekly reaction
Maybe I notice this more because of the comms but I am noticing a lot of hold up horses finishing of their races well. I don't think hold up/closer is the problem.
I think what Leon says makes sense - if your horse isn't good enough on the day or its running on unsuitable ground it runs the risk of getting pulled up. It's not just horses tailed off - I've seen them pulled up from in the pack BUT I can't say I can remember a horse being pulled up from the first half of the field.
I do agree and I think this is a big problem that needs to be sorted and that is jockeys not riding their mounts out to the line. We all know that in real life a jockey doing that would get smashed "pillar to post" doing that. I hope Mark is looking into fixing this up with SO7 - when it is released.
