first ever graded win today with tournedos a game bred thrown in to make up numbers now a reasonable champion hurdle hope …. excellent how varied this league is so open and random makes for great competition though it should never be taken lightly how much time the lads that have been successful in the past put in and that's the reason they are the big guns of the league.

Congratulations on your first graded win. I hope you have many siblings from him for the league.

Week 2

Day 2

Flat

Already had my one win for the week on flat, lets not get greedy.

Coffee & Doughtnuts - 13th - Simply not G1 class

Vanquish - 11th - Also not G1 class

Push the Tempo - 8th - Maiden out the way now for the handicaps

Saint of the Leger - 8th - Bit one paced no danger of challenging for the race she was named after.

Calm The Feck Down - 4th - Decent race needs the 0-90 range I think 100 is beyond him. Sad days for the best product of my best sprint line............

Black Rider - 16th - Going to bin her even if I cannot replace simply on principle.

Raahin White & Brave New World - 8th & 15th - And I had just reached the conclusion my 2m horses may not be that bad.......back to the drawing board.

Jump

Thank god for jump racing, barnstorming day for me.

Lana Del Rey - 1st - Great gutsy performance and a tight finish even if she did perhaps profit from Gray's horse being boxed in for some time. 2 from 2, great start.

Nickerbocker Glory - 3rd - Solid performance but Johns horse Balia West was just too strong.

The National Await - 1st - Theres the horse I see at home, great run even if it is one that will likely see him hauling a lot of weight in the big race, probably too much already.

The Big Easy - 5th - Time to get out of these micky mouse NHF races, back to the hurdles you go.

Reap What You Sow - 1st - Little bit of a shock this one, figured she would be in the mix, but a strong win slightly unexpected.

Gloria - 2nd - Still cannot find a 3m hurdle for this front running mare, she is so much better at those. Cannot fault her second effort over fences

Floats Like a Sommerfly - 1st - Best win of the bunch, was not sure he would stay for this so delighted he battled back for the win after being run down.

Great White Hope - 3rd - Never took the race on when I would have expected him too, needs to break early. Little disappointed.

Going to be all White - 5th - Just not at the level of the rest of my team, handicaps await.

Dominatrix - 2nd - Another solid showing without finding a win. Cannot fault the effort.

Week 2

Day 3

Flat

3 wins from 2 weeks, well on track for my 10 for season.

Daughter of Dante - 3rd - Strong finish but left herself too much to do

Rider on The Storm - 2nd - Not the flat racing too for feck sake...............had the race at her mercy tied up in the closing stages to lose by a nose.

Whats the Verdict - 18th - Still pants.

Nimrod - 1st - Ok it was only a 0-80 but I'll take it all day. Still winning bucket loads of G1's in my game at a grand old age. Pfft to game form.............

Best of Both Worlds - 9th - Something else I hate more than flat racing is front runners to die when it matters. Off to the glue factory you go.

Belladona - 3rd - G1 result and the only horse I think I shall keep after week five. Cannot bred anything from her sadly, they all suck balls.

House That Frank Built - 3rd - Technically top weight in a 0-80, ok second but top weight should not have even been in the race with a 82 rating...........Not a disgrace.

Jump

Another great day from my team. Going to be a close run NH title this year, if only my flat team where not a pile of doo doo.

Words That Hurt - 6th - And so now I know, 2m is her limit does not stay beyond it.

Full Court Press - 1st - Strong finish that gives me some encouragement. Not sure my 3m hurdlers are what I thought though.

In The Nick of Time - 1st - Awful day one showing, full of running today, great performance but will she hold form in better races.

Tigris of Gaul - 1st - Strong staying performance from my worst 3m hurdler, he had just been culled from the breeding barn. Pleasing performance.

The White Witch - 4th - Jockey needs shooting, got boxed, stopped riding and let her switch off again. There is a monster in there somewhere I am sure.

Sins of The Angels - 4th - Always going to be a little too short for her. Not a disgrace.

Fanstastic Fiction - P - Injured. Nothing serious minor strain, back next week.

National Pastime - 7th - Still a barmey race, don't have a comment really.

Josh

Very true Martin
so we have got loads of improvement in us
i uploaded a horse for the nh flat season as i had time to get a season or 2 in
had to delete 2 flat stables and stopped playing 3rd flat race stable as going nowhere
so started a combined game and loving it... i auto ran 5 years and i am only on season 15
the new horse i uploaded was Shes Electric who ran a close 2nd to pauls Tigermoth
so if i can keep doing more seasons i could suprise a few

Week 3, Day 1, not many running today and didn't expect any bar Lovely Drop to have a chance.

James E Cornette - 17th - drawn widest of all on an oval track, went round 10 wide... Had no chance, forget this run.

Lovely Drop - 6th - got given far too much to do, needs 1m4f minimum.

Swift Air - 6th - ran a huge race off top weight over a trip too short.

Creme Carnation - 11th - out of her depth but still disappointed.

Thanks to all, congratulations on your 1000 Guineas 1-2 PJ!

2 Winners on the flat today and after 10 season trying finally won the 1000 Guineas

Tunisia
Never thought my 2 would be leading into the first furlong there was no pace in the
race and ended up there by accident really was not at all sure how they would handle
it Tunisia bit the bullet and decided to go with it Mabs Cross came through and put alot
of pace into the race which my 2 badly needed Tunisia had the rail to help her and forged
on in the closing stages just to hold off her stable mate Portugal who took a while to get
going after being taken back it made for an epic finish and in the final furlong several had
chances but my 2 just held on. This is my first win in the race and have now been able to
complete the classic set both will now go for the Irish version next week.

Joan Jet
 completely the opposite of the Guineas my 2 were at the back the last 2 coming through
the first couple of furlongs but both came with great runs Joan Jet who is a 10 furlong horse
just saw off my Oaks number 2 Johannassohn to win the pretty Polly stakes a really promising
run from both of them and both will go into group company next.

Team Rhodes English Classics - 10
2000 Guineas - 4 - S3 Twilighted - S6 Lamborghini - S7 Cape Thorne - S9 Vice Lombardi
1000 Guineas - 1 - S10 Tunisia
Epsom Oaks - 2 - S6 South Carolina - S8 Treaty Of Versailles
Epsom Derby - 2 - S8 The Colosseum - S9 Stonehenge
St Leger - 1 - S6 Newsround

A quick piece of trivia for you

every single one of my flat horses has come from the same game
from my 5 furlong sprinters to my Ascot Gold Cup horses and every
single one are descendants of 1 sire CARRICK BOY

1 horse really can change everything
