 Start New League
League News
Heard from Leon October should be a go for the new league
Leons Message - I see you hoping to start the league in October. That should be ok. I'm getting there I've run into some issues like the encrypted passwords using SHa1 in the old Tom but will be using Bcrypt in the new Tom. I have resolved this this by requiring a password reset for all users when they login for the first time on the new site. I don't think everything will be done by the start of league, like the caching for example but Tom in its current state will be replicated with improvements.
So i am now ready to get some trainers to volunteer to help with the races below are currently open positions i would like to fill unless we get Volunteers it is unlikely we can start the new League Season so i list below the guys i hope will already do these things if you guys don't want to or can't let me Know also i have left places Free that need Filling.
Gray
Tom Adminstrator - Leon Race Sorter and Online You Tube Channel - Me ( Simple Minds )
Race Runner 1 - Kevcon Race Runner 2 - Ghostzapper Race Runner 3 and 4 - Free Need Some Volunteers
Flat Handicapper - Dangersteve Jump Handicapper - Need a Volunteer Can't Run League without one
The way the race kit handicaps horses is absolute rubbish we need a manual Handicapper to adjust the ratings otherwise we end up with Group 1 horses getting low ratings.
Commentators would like to have at least 4 to spread the workload
1 - Doug 2 - Mike 3 - The New Pebbles 4 -
P.S Any Volunteers Would need to Download Dropbox.

 Re: Start New League
I'd be interested in handicapping the Flat racing.

 Re: Start New League
Can do race running, and happy to give the comms a whirl too if needed. I'd even consider handicapping if I could work out some sort of model to support me, but would be a total novice, have been flicking through bha literature on the subject Josh

 Re: Start New League
I run the game on the top graphic spec without issue since upgrading my PC. Do not have either, but Bandicam is a free download and drop box is simple enough to get also, so do not forsee a problem with either.

Bandicam is Free but Limited to Length some races Long Jump Races take over ten minutes and must be run in HD1080 Drop Box is simple enough but it does cause Problems with Space I pay for my drop box for extra space so I have no trouble in uploading Videos some runners who use the free drop box struggles with space I don't want anyone paying out money to buy extra space just for the league if you have space problems you might takes hours to upload Videos to drop box but we can work around that. Githyanki wrote: You mean PC space or space via Dropbox? PC has a 500gb ssd and 2tb hybrid drive, space there is no issue The free version of Dropbox is limited to 2Gb (or is it 4GB?) of disk space and if you reach that limit it stops you from uploading any more files. To get more space you have to pay - isn't the cheapest but if you can write it off on tax like I was able to then Bob's your Uncle The free Dropbox fills up real quick with the videos.
