Starters Orders 6 Nov Hurdle Qualifiers My horse Banterbury Maid has had her best run over 16f, but I just noticed that the final is over 20f, which is outwith the normal 3f spread a horse is normally allowed. Are horses allowed to run no matter what their best distance is? |

These races are designed for low handicapped horses the finals are on the last day I am sure if your horse wants to be run it will be allowed it may even had its best run over 2m 1f or 2m 7f. Gray |

Starters Orders 6 Novice Qualifiers I think that having a big competition for low handicap horses is a good idea, but I notice that it is not the lesser trainers horses who have qualified, but the middle\big trainers horses who have qualified so far. Maybe in the future we should lower the limit for these races to encourage the lesser trainers horses. Also the final has a limit of 160 on it. Maybe this could be reduced so as to exclude horses, mine included who have already qualified, who have handicaps over 120, same as the qualifiers. The distance spread of the qualifiers ranges from 1m 7f to 3m 2f with the final over 2m 4f. I appreciate that you are trying to open up the final to as wide a range of horses as possible, but I doubt that any of my horses who could qualify over 3m 2f would do well over 2m 4f. Just a question, but is the spread of distance too great? |

I think when the final is to be run - probably most horses wont be suited over the distance - if that is a consolation. Please ignore - I thought this was about the flat. Cheers. |

The idea Jim was to make Races at the low end over different distances the finals over 2m 4f because its the middle it will be best for those horses I know but I couldn't just add more low handicap races over different distance each week has it would mean more races. I will look at the Finals and if no one opposes I will make them 0-120 Finals. Gray |
