There seems to be a lot of middle distance chase races in the NH this week. There's race 11 a 2m 3f G2 chase, race 21 a 2m 4f G1 chase, race 26 a 2m 4f G2 chase, race 27 a 2m 4f G3 chase for mares. I think there may be a few small fields in some of these races as most trainers will not have 4 chase horses that runs over 2m 4f. I have entered a 2m 4f hurdler in one of these races as there is only one 2m 4f hurdles race this week. Probably, the races will even themselves out in other weeks. I just thought that there is probably one too many races this week over this distance. It does mean that if trainers look at the small race entries they may get a horse in the money that would not normally get in the money. Jim |

Seems to me this always happens, one week there are a load of hurdles the next a load of chases, it balances out. My hurdle team will be doing a lot of falling in chases this week. ![]() |
