				  NH Handicap challenge

A little bit of fun, currently this is the line up of Race 10.

 The Vics Head 139 12st
 Orions Belt 138 11st13lbs
 Quibbler John 136 11st11lbs
Diamonds in the Stars 135 11st10lbs
 Pass the Peace 129 11st4lbs
 Tango Chick 129 11st4lbs
 Cast Away 127 11st2lbs
 Optimistic Smile 126 11st1lbs
 Chabal 124 10st13lbs
Clerk of the Court 122 10st11lbs
 Swordplay 111 10st0lbs
 July 109 9st12lbs
 Another Baringo 108 9st12lbs
 Rumble of Thunder 106 9st12lbs
 Thor 105 9st12lbs
 Tal Mal Run 99 9st12lbs

The challenge is to be the best handicapper of this race. I.e get the most exciting finish. I've run a trial race in my CK and a couple of the runners pull away from the rest of the field who finish fairly well bunched.

Post here the field and your ratings. Stick with the top weight as a maximum rating of 140 and don't worry too much about ratings under 110 because they'll be carrying 9st12lbs regardless. I appreciate fallers/injuries can change the face of the race but it's just a bit of fun and actually in my trial only a couple fell. I'll post the alternative races in this thread.

This won't affect the original race in any way at all.

There's mine, never tried it before so thought I would have a go, sounded interesting. Had to punish Craig's horse, still would probably win this one and Tango Chick should be top weight in reality! But think this could provide a few with a better chance! Hopefully, I know what you mean now by saying it's hard to have a handicapper in place, sod doing that for 22 races every week!

This would never have to be done every race as hcapper will be from the start and will know the ratings. This is actually very hard to do at this stage as you would have to look through all horses form

This was hard to try from this point but interesting thing l noticed, Rich does TOM count in fallers when assesing ratings??? Think this may be where some problems are. 1 race had 10 runners with 6 fallers so cus a low rated horse was classed as finishing 4th and all top rated horses had fell he got hit with a big mark. Maybe that is a little problem?

I think the ratings in this race are WAY OFF!!Some high ratings for decent performances whereas a grade 1 winner rated 109 - not in my list which would be as follows:

 Quibbler John - 136
Diamonds In The Stars - 134
 The Vics Head - 132
 Orions Belt - 130
 Tango Chick - 129
 Chabal - 128
 Cast Away - 125
 Rumble Of Thunder - 125
 Pass The Peace - 122
 Optimistic Smile - 122
Clerk Of The Court - 120
 Swordplay - 115

The rest - bottom weight as rich says due to under 110

 Thor
 Another Baringo
 July
 Tal Mal Run

Who do you think did best?
I think this completely unscientific award goes to Nick More so because Thor was underestimated! Cheeky Kev

the handicap ratings are absolutley ridiculous on TOM - i may post a long list of daft ones at the end of the season but not sure can be bothered to go thru them all.
