I am a newbie and I was wondering whether for so5 if there should be a set game difficulty level we should play at if we want to enter horses in the league, e.g hard or normal. For example, people like pjrhodes1970 have loads of good horses, but only play the game on easy- I know this because you can see this on his starters orders 4 unofficial promo video on youtube ( I also have a screenshot but I don't know how to upload it). This means it is easier to get better horses and surely gives them an advantage. However if we had a set level of difficulty, it would make it a level playing field. |

no not at all mate modes of difficulty only effect how much money and how many horses you start with does not change standard of horses you go up against in the game basically setting a game to difficult mode gives you 50k and 2 rubbish horses if you start on simple gives you 250k and 4 horses and that’s it that is the only difference in the different modes of difficulty only hard work and time put in gives you an advantage in lge if you put the time in you will be rewarded has nothing at all to do what mode you play the game in if only it was that simple would have saved lots of hours |

Well on the start menu when you set up a new game if you hover over selection for easy it says better owned horses, easier training. Surely this means you get better horses more easily and they are easier to train, whereas for harder it says poor owned horses, harder training. This means harder is a lot harder to get good horses on. Also, having a higher amount of money at the start makes it easier to get going and to buy better horses. |

none of your points have any bearing what so ever when it comes to the league the success i have had in the lge is down plainly and simply to the hard work i have put in simple as that dont take my word for it ask some of the lads that have been in the lge for years i put alot of time in to buidling my lge team and deserve fully what i have so far achieved i find it a bit of an insult that you think its down to playing a game in simple mode thats a joke |

I wasn't suggesting that you haven't worked hard, all I was suggesting was that there should be a set difficulty to play on, to neutralise any potential advantage, as people like me could be playing on normal and might feel we were at a disadvantage to people playing on easy. |

There is no advantage. I would guess that most people "inflate" their money when setting up to breed anyway. |

There is no advantage. People that play in the league use nothing but time, you would see this if you entered a couple of game horses from a freshly created 'easy save game' how wrong you actually are. I play the game in hard because it keeps things interesting as my horses are far superior to the computers in any other game difficulty, and I've been winning my fair share of races in the NH league. From someone that doesn't even own SO4, I can see why you are of this opinion but from an experienced player over the years I can tell you, you are way off the mark on this. |

BINGO we have a winner i tried to explain this earlier there is no advantage what level you play the game at has no bearing on the lge at all you would no this if you actually bought and played so4 its all about what times your horses trial at in race builder cheers for clearing that up lads I probably over reacted a bit or was a bit defensive i just thought it was a shot at me personally no hard feelings Ubar02 welcome to the forums hope you enjoy so5 |

Ubar02 why dont you have 2 games going at the same time, like 1 in difficult setting for playing the game for your own enjoyment, and 1 in easy for breeding horses for the league? You can do this. |
