i think some trainers were doing 302 for 1m6f at ascot months ago
my best is 309.5

so if thats the case i am miles off a classic winning time

Remember pace and how many runners makes a big difference with times. I think you're better off using a handy horse as a pacemaker as this will be more realistic in the league. Running a trial with 20 runners, multiple pacemakers or handy horses is a bad idea imo. I normally trial 10-14 runners with one handy horse. If I do run trials with more runners then I use Newmarket as its easier to get rid of the rubbish.


Ascot 1m6 - 3:06.06
Donny 1m6 - 3:00.7

Ascot 2m - 3:37.7

Given up with the game right now as have far more important things on and it all got a bit boring anyway

I dont use pacemakers, used to in so4 but so5 is different, using a pacemaker to go an all out gallop from the start would get you the best time in so4 but they finish alot slower in so5 if you do it. The majority of my best horses at every distance race handy anyway so there is always a good gallop.

I might just give up on my life because there are far more important things on in the middle east just now

sorry but had to comment on that comment, you can tell me to grow up but thats one of the worst things ive ever read on the internet, if you have far more important things going on you dont really need to tell people on a computer game forum, im not saying you dont, just that you felt the need to say that was pretty horrendous. Putting aside your insignificance in the universe, why are you posting times on the forum when you have far more important things on? They cant be that important that you have to mention on a completely unrelated topic but not important enough that you are still posting times on a game wesbite. Everyone has shit to deal with in their life, but they arent posting about it in st leger trial section on the league forum.

I outdid myself with that one, it was right to the bone and seems impossible to come back to.

He could have avoided sounding like a condescending arsepiece of course by simply saying ive not had much time to play the game recently and was getting pissed off with it anyway. But that would be unbecoming of a self righteous explicit.

I was kinda hoping my comment would spark something resembling life into a league discussion that is dying everyday but apparently not.

Alot of people have put a fair amount of time into their league horses, including Mr Beaky, whether he likes to admit it or not, and I think his down the nose comment was probably borne out of frustration at his hefty effort and poor times.

Maybe he will back up his nonchalant assertions by refusing to enter the league due to greater commitments but I highly doubt it.
