I have added a little more detail to the stable view. The stable view should show info regarding league settings including the max stable size, the number of retirements. You should also see three buttons - edit, delete, retire. Only the retire option is ready for testing. The maximum number of retirements is set at 1 so you should be able to retire 1 horse only. I haven't tested to see whether the uploads available is updated. I will try to add the other two options over the next couple of days. Keep in mind that normally at the start of a league, you wouldn't have the option of retiring horses. Please keep the constructive feedback and comments coming - right down to the words and language used to describe actions, links etc DD |

Just a thought. After logging in if I use the taskbar to click view all stables it brings up a screen to choose the season. When I click on UKRA15 it then brings up another screen with 3 options TOM Main Menu, View My Stable and View Races. It seems strange that I don't see any option for View All Stables. Yes I can go back and reclick on that option from the taskbar but I'm nit picking ![]() The retirement went fine. Cheers for all the hard work! |

Dodgy The retirement function works great for me. After retiring a horse the top of the View My Stable page shows: Max stable size: 5 ][ Current stable size: 4 ][ Uploads left: 1 ][ Max retirements: 1 ][ Horses Retired: 1 Clicking the Upload Horse link now allows me to upload another horse rather than displaying the "you have uploaded the maximum number of horses currently allowed" message shown when you have a full stable. keenanbrown wrote: dodgy when i went to view all stables it shows i have 5 horses even though i retired 1 horse..should it say 4 because of the horse i retired? This is also the only problem I have found with the retire horses function. The View All Stables page is not updating stable sizes after a horse is retired. |

Can you clarify this please - is it that the number is incorrect but there are 4 horses showing or is it that there are still 5 horses showing? |

The page you are talking about simply confirms that you have changed league. The code checks for a selected league and if there isn't one then you have to go through this process. If there is only one league in operation it's not actually needed but I wanted to build the code on the basis that there could be multiple leagues in operation. I'll remove those links as it's starting to get a little confusing. |

My stable shows the correct number of horses. Just logged on to the site and this issue is now fixed ![]() |

Kevcon wrote: View All Stables page is not updating stable sizes after a horse is retired. Got it - should be fixed now. I have also made a simple change so that if there is only one league you don't get asked to selected a league - it defaults to that one league. It's a little basic at present, but I can make it more sophisticated when it needs to be. |

Hopefully, the issues have been identified. I've now disabled retirements - admins will eventually have their own pages to manage and set up the league so retirements for a league will eventually be enabled or disabled by changing a flag via TOM - no need to learn PHP or MySQL. So, can anyone break it and retire a horse? Once we've tested that, I'll change the number of retired horses to 2 to try and replicate a change in values later in the sense. On the basis that we are making progress, I should be able to release the delete horse page tonight NZT. |

DodgyDave wrote: So, can anyone break it and retire a horse? Short answer to that is no! I tried to retire horses via the View My Stable page and also by opening the View All Stables page and clicking on my stable name. All attempts returned the following page Retire [Horse Name] from UKRA Season 15? Retirements are not currently permitted. |
