 Week 5 Weather
Prolonged dry spells have left the ground for the Royal meeting at Ascot quick with extensive watering each day. Up in Scotland there has been some rain but not enough to affect the going.
Ascot - G/F Musselburgh - Good
Strangely not too far away at Sandown they have seen rain nearly every day this week which has left the ground soft. Clerk of the course at Ascot has somehow managed to water the jumps course so much it is looking rather soft! Newton Abbot has not had much rain at all, neither has Huntingdon.
Cheltenham has seen storms and heavy rain for the past week. Luckily the course can take a fair amount of water and they feel it will be soft ground come the meeting. Over in Ireland it has been raining for 23 days straight at Punchestown and all horses are advised to bring their wellies!
Newcastle have seen some dry days and also some quite wet days but with no more rain forecast till next week the course is expected to dry out.
Newton Abbot - G/S Sandown - Soft Huntingdon - G/S Cheltenham - Soft Ascot - Soft Punchestown - Heavy Newcastle - G/S
