Terrible week for me no winners at Ascot :( were they were bred to succeed
Was not wrong was the only 1 of mine i could call unlucky the rest just weren't good enough
WNW got boxed in and badly hampered late on
he flew home when he got out but all too late
V. Disappointing week indeed i think definitely a change in approach to breeding next season
well done to the winners and placers
some eye catching performances in there won't spoil it

Two winners which takes my flat tally to 5  even got a win at Royal Ascot in the Wolferton handicap with Know Nothing at all and a nursery at Musselburgh with Grey Soldier.

Sharp Reply: Needed a much faster pace than last time, overcame a terrible run to win the Wokingham Handicap. Big Handicap Objective achieved. :D

Pure Star: Very unlucky last time out over 10f, will go for the Cambridgeshire and that will be that for this season.

Plot achieved. Nice runs over 7f and 1m.

All within the rules. Rules which you supported.

Like you said horses in SO5 are good over a bigger distance spread. Sharp Reply is capable over 5f to 8f. Just didn't get the pace in the longer distance races.

Yeah I supported the rules for my own gain.

Anyway I have a new horse. "Sad Pathetic Bitter Quitter S Speight" can run over 5-20f. Not sure where to start him off though. I don't think anyone will really care what the horse does.

Do you care, Alan?

I don't care at all, call it what you like matey.
Thanks for inputting all the data, you are doing a great job.
With a clear run, Sharp Reply would have won the Wokingham by five lengths. No breeding, no trials, just a game horse bought from the auctions.
These distance rules are great, please keep as they are.

Take Care.
Alan

The league is run on goodwill and faith. It is not really for people with mental problems and hidden agendas.

Sharp Reply would not win a 1m handicap off 70 yet would have won the Wokingham off a mark higher than that was given to the horse on its first run over the wrong trip. A mark which you complained about. A mark that if anything was too low. Especially when you deliberately ran a horse over distances too far in its first two runs. This is something that was not supposed to be allowed to happen. As said goodwill is a key part of the league. Those trainers deliberately running their horses over the wrong distances to get a good handicap mark were supposed to be punished. Unfortunately it seems that goodwill has been abused by you. Thats a sad state of affairs by someone who only joined the forum the week the league started. That says a lot about someone.

I ran the horse within the rules.

So now you're saying okay these are the rules, and if you abide by the rules it is against the spirit of the league!

Lads lets leave it there

Alan Steve Joe Bloggs John Doe i personally don't care

for a newbie trying the lge for the first time i find your attitude towards it as a NEWBIE to be puzzling
i just get the feeling from your past posts you have some grudge to bear which for someone new to the forum and the lge as stated
is a bit puzzling.

enjoy your win i actually did a piece on you in the newsletter i gave you the benefit of the doubt treated you as a newbie therefore highlighted your victory

This is a Lge of Goodwill we are trying to run it as fair as possible
off course it is an impossible mission to please everyone rules wise but the rules were voted in by the majority

your win came within the rules your reaction well its not really cricket is it
but any win in the lge is to be enjoyed so enjoy it so congratulations

It was also said trainers deliberately running their horses over the wrong distances would receive handicap penalties.

As you haven't received a handicap penalty I would like to make an official objection to Sharp Reply winning the Wokingham.

I think it is unfair on all the other trainers who have ran their horses honestly to be beaten by someone with the clear intention of abusing the rules. You had opportunities to run the horse in 6f maidens but deliberately chose to deceive the handicapper.

You can waffle on all you want. Before you reply I have already objected to one winner this season and the race was run again.
