Could someone please let me know what the bottom of the opening screen says is the most recent version of the game? I think I'm missing an update that was supposed to be linked in the welcome email that contained the serial registration key. Again, this is what it said in that email:

"After installing the game you must install the update. The link is in your key email. Copy it and paste it into your browser. Download and then install the update."

I don't mean to be a pest about this, but I just spent a lot of money on this game (after the pounds to dollars conversion), and I don't want to be missing what sounds like a critical update. I don't even want to start a serious game if I'm missing a crucial update. If someone could please let me know, I would appreciate it very much... and I promise I will stop asking about it.

It should say "v1.042" in the bottom left corner right above where your license key is listed. That is the latest version. If your game needs an update there should be a blue globe there. If your internet connection is down the globe won't show so make sure you are online.

So there is not an initial mandatory update that is supposed to be downloaded and applied right away (as stated on the purchase confirmation screen)? I'm just wondering why it stated that there would be a link included in the registration key email if that's not really the case. It makes it sound like it might be an update that is necessary, but separate from any that would be found thru the blue globe within the game. I'm probably just worrying to much about it... but I'm sure you understand my concern (want to be sure the game is running correctly).

No problem and totally understandable. I'd do the same thing. Perhaps they'll see this and make corrections.
