Post Back to the start in the barn
I'm not sure if these are really good horses or not, but they might start the renewal of my breeding lines after I lost my breeding save a couple of days ago after my pc bluescreened mid-save. :(

I knew their sires and dams had class, but it's always a mystery how a colt or filly will turn out. I actually just messed up my chances of winning the US Triple Crown by racing both horses in both races. They got first and second in both, but shared the honours and so all I can hope for now is they get another 1-2 finish in the Belmont.

My gut tells me Princess is the better horse, and she wins a little easier at a longer distance (1m1f-1m2f range than 1m for Lioness) too, so she should probably take the Belmont too. Lioness does have my beloved 'Laid Back' trait, starts well, and competes despite looking second best when examining the bars - I fancied Princess to take the Preakness tbh, even with the distance advantage Lioness had!

Hoping to keep both bloodlines separate for as long as possible, looking to add some more battling quality and cruising burst to the lines, but is there anything else I need to focus on - either in general or just with these horses. Advice greatly appreciated!

Qucik update: As expected Princess took the Belmont with relative ease, both jockeys complained it was too far (which I knew was the case, but couldn't miss out on the Belmont after back-to-back 1-2 finishes in the other Triple Crown races ) and pleasantly surprised to see them both do so well.

Thought I had a ttf but apparently it was a very old one, rebuilding from that but only had 6 horses on it sadly and only 4 were breeding worthy (the other two were my first two 'good' horses ever and are saved for posterity). Sadly the bluescreen ruined everything as I was playing on my laptop and not pc which has Win10. Both now have it to safeguard against such issues again, oh and EVERYTHING is backed up in three separate places now!

I like it. It's like updated WinXP/7, but I do use an addon named Classic Shell that gives me an old-school start menu so I can pretend Win8 never happened! :D
