I paid 1.8 Million for this horse and he is 3 yo colt he has won 6 group 1s and 2 group 3s he wins races from 1 , 1.1m , 1.2m not sure how long to keep him going he is currently rated 121 the two group 3s were just warm up races was sitting around doing nothing and needed some extra cash

For me it would depend on where you are in the game, so is he your best horse to date? Do you need him to generate cash? Do you lack a decent Colt in your breeding barn?

As a rule I run the horses that make the grade to 3, the stars I keep until 5 so I can export and jump trial them, but there is also some nice money races for the 3+ group that are hard to win at 3 with all but monsters. Typically I find most continue to improve up to 5, but also don't be put off if at 4 they are not quite ready yet. I have also retired horses at 2, simply for purposes of breeding so really depends where your at.

Hi philly

I race on the Aussie tracks too - Like Josh said above, where are you in your game?
If you're not fully cashed up I'd keep running him - the Japan and NZ wins are sweet - you need something smart to win in NZ and it's won there twice! Also the English win is smart as an Aussie 3yo needs to be strong and have good stamina to win it!
If you are pushing your breeding then go for it now BUT if you'd like to have more fun with your horse then keep him on the track.
From my experiences I believe this horse's peak will be at 5yo and it will win a lot of races if you place it right and it should top 130+ rating at 5yo if not at 4.
It will race well up to 7 or 8 but I think this is a good horse to kick start your breeding!
I'd send it to stud at the end of it's 5yo season and hook him up with as many mares as you can.
Also just stick with Group 1 races - and see if you can pick up a G1 in Dubai during the April carnival.

Doug.

Race him at least 2 more seasons - you don't get horses like him every year so enjoy the fun :)
Also he'll really boost your bank if you set him right.

I'm with the others here. Normally my good group one winners will keep racing until 5 or 6 (depending on their deterioration bar) and then into the breeding barn for 5-10 years of producing possible replacements.

Looks like a fine horse who can still grow a little (from the potential bar), and not a long deterioration stat either. I say keep him running awhile longer and see just how good he can get.

I had a Crash and still have the Horse and he still is on fire and i didnt enter him into any group 3s only group ones he has so far won 17 group ones at 5 Years Old I actually tried him at a new distance in 1m 3f and guess first time raced in ths group one and he won he is a machine he got injured last season for 4 weeks all because of me racing him to much did not chec the condition now that i do he runs maybe 3 races a month depending the Grade. He also has an Arch nemesis in a horse called Witch Doctor which is fun to watch.

Nice, seems your on your way to cracking the 1m distance, always the easiet to master, soon you'll be breeding 20 odd multi g1 winning 1m colts each year, the challenge then becomes who's better than who and how the heck do I find races for them all, before just chucking them all in the same race and working it out :)

Work on 1.4+ and sprints, for me the last was the hardest along with 2milers for Melbourne.
