Just started a new NH game using a showcase i downloaded off one of the forums. Have had about 6 NH horses and even when they win the jockeys report they raced too freely. They have already been gelded and do not have excitable temperaments so am slightly baffled by this. Could it be a bug on the new showcase or does anyone have any solutions?

No, nearly all the NH horses don't settle for some reason. I never geld unless I get the words 'Not Settle.' at least 3 times when the jockey gives his feedback. If he just says 'horse could have settled better' ignore it. If they're winning anyway, does it matter?? Apparently with a few years breeding it dissipates.

Ok Thanks for that. Horses that have "not settle" in their race reports are a particular favourite of mine, either because if you get one from another yard and geld it they are very well handicapped or because if you run them in a maiden/novice then geld them they often end up with a favourable handicap mark!
