I know that when auctioning a horse, you can put a reserve of a certain dollar amount, what about in a claiming race? I can't seem to make the dollar amount stick, need to win a few races, not lose my horses when I win. Thanks for any info, I did not see this in the help topics.

Click on the claiming race you want your horse to enter before entering your horse in the right hand corner of the horse you will see a box saying Claiming weight click on that and the box will drop showing you all the claiming weights the more claiming weight the more it will cost to buy your horse but it will mean it wil also carry a bigger weight.

Or enter the auction amount AFTER the horse has won the race. In all the other versions this overwrites the automatic reserve the game will put on the horse, I have only played the owner mode where you can't sell horses though so it could have changes for this version.
