WOOHOOO! I hadn't even noticed, YAY!!!!!!!!!!

So I got the game now and I must say I am glad it is very improved I still love playing owner/trainer mode , with that said I know that I would like the new trainer mode the most if it worked right. From what I can see I have played this mode about 4-5 times I say that because it starts really good but after between 3 to 7 seasons I dont have any horses no owners contact me no matter what and it gets really boring fast when all your doing is skipping days waiting for the email icon to light up. But I really want to see this mode in SO6 just fixed I cross my fingers that this can be fixed somehow in a patch if it could that would be great.
Playing this new mode made me think of an idea of another mode I was thinking owner mode but you cant train you have to hire trainer or trainers for your horses and they would email you there recommendations on what race to enter. However it would be your choice of the race and the jockey, heck it would be cool if the trainer told you what kind of chance you had. Ok back to the subject like I said this new mode is very addictive and I love the idea but i cant get any horses after so many seasons you lose them and are not offerd anymore.
by the way every time I have tried this my stars was full and I had all my upgrades. if any one is also going thru this please share on here
and please if anyone is not going thru this and are having success please please share that as well.

Six Group1's in a season and had 8 out of my 10 horses taken away from me. Am also now rated *. Im a one star trainer, open days dont work in 2 years. Game over.

I bought SO5 for the new trainer mode, with AI owners. I figured this would alleviate many of the money problems in SO4, which would often see you cheat just to prevent you going bust and get a foothold in the industry.

However, I've started a few games now and grown extremely frustrated. The future of your whole yard hinges on turning one of your first six horses into a star!

This is painfully unrealistic. The likes of Paul Nicholls didn't send out a Grade 1 winner in his first season! If anything, this makes the game impossible to play - not simpler. I've only attempted the easy mode, so far. The mind boggles as to how difficult the hard option is!

Are there any plans to address this?

There just needs to be a steady interest of owners in your yard. 95 per cent of these can be animals that will only pick up minor handicap prizes - that's how every trainer has to start. Then occasionally a decent one will come along. It's up to you then to spot it, train it up and so your yard will grow.

If you train a multiple Grade 1 winner straight away, get loads of interest from owners and they all bring their horses to you, you've effectively completed the game in the first season!

Sorry for having a whinge, I've been a huge fan of the SO games. And maybe it's too idealistic but I had high hopes of the SO team to deliver the new trainer mode in style.

Trainer Only mode is still really a work in progress. Sadly for us the other bugs and issues with the game with be addressed first but then Im sure tweaks and adjustments will be made to Trainer Only mode.


Have patience, this will be a very, very good game once all the problems have been sorted.

The Owners mode will be much better, if Mark fixes a bug.

What happens is when an owner offers you a horse to train, but he has horses with other 3 trainners, then whatever you do or not do he will take back the horse in a week at the most and return to one of his trainners.

I simply think that the game doesn't allow an owner to have horses with more than 3 trainners. And the bad thing is that almost everybody has 3 trainners.

A proof of this is when an owner has already horses with 3 trainners and gives you a horse to train (so you are the 4th), your name is not on his list of trainners.

So the game should allow owner to have more than 3 trainners.

I play in normal mode, but i believe is same with easy and hard.

Ok so I took some of the tips from SC and did really well for almost 2 full seasons, but now I have no horses in my yard and every time an owner sends me 1 or 2 or what ever amount they are removed for no reason in 3 to 7 days I never have time to even race them.
This also takes my stars back down so now I am right back at 1 star. I do love the idea of this mode and I can see how very much fun it would be if it worked. I don't think it matters what region you play but the only region That I have tried is the US, being that is the only one I know anything about but I take it that you guy's have been in other regions with the same results.
I think I will play more of the other modes untill maybe they tweak and patch this new mode.
