Post Question about stats.
Until viewing the forum i did not know about the detailed horse stats screen...
The main stats-
The degree of absolute potential (dark green) and realised potential (light green)
If the box is fully dark green does this mean the horse has the potential to be 140 rated?

Battling qualities, i take it from other posts that the higher this is the better the breeding prospect?

Constitution, obviously the higher the better?

The secondary stats, as high as possible except detoriation potential?

Appreciate any comments/answers.

Jon

You are probably right about all of your comments but it is probably too early for many people to say for definite.

Absolute potential seems a bit odd because I have sold one or two 3yo's who had less than half potential one of whom has just come out and beaten one of the fillies I retained in the Ribblesdale! So maybe they are still to be taken with a pinch of salt.

One little tip is to keep ones with high confidence. They tend to perform better than those with low rating. And winning doesn't seem to make a difference on the confidence. It is either born with high rating on not and I can't get it to rise even if the horse continues to win.

As to the potential bar, I prefer horses that has high potential rating when just born. There is no need to try to raise it since it's already at near max. I don't even have to race them and can already tell it will do well.

Example of 3 horses 2 with low confidence and one at a decent level. although all 3 are just newly born, I can tell which ones will be a very good horse.
