The most frustrating thing about Starters Orders
I know you can CTRL ALT DEL out on the last day of the season etc, but when a game horse you notice that wins a ton of G1's is retired but not to stud at the end of the season.
I waited for a game horse called Touch of Ebony that had won 22 G1's to retire and then I noticed it had retired but not to breed from, I was absolutely gutted. haha

This part of the game could be improved immensely. I'd also like to see sires (and broodmares) at stud for several seasons, and a list of top sires to be added alongside the trainers/jockeys/top horses lists every season too.

Re: The most frustrating thing about Starters Orders
My breeding barn is ridiculous, away from the horses I retired to stud, there are only 2 horses that won group 1 races at stud in my current season that are gamebred, and 4 or 5 that won a group 1 for me and then I sold anyway, absolutely no quality! Hoping to catch a 21 G1 winning stallion next year though, only problem is he runs from 1m to 1m4 and I'm focussing on a 1m stable so he'll introduce too much stamina!

I had a few seasons like that and ended up having to interbreed to a certain extent, not really had a superstar from it, but a few that have won 8/9 G1s

A lot of mine are inbred, not like with brother/sister/sire/dam but grandsires on both sides and stuff, just because of the lack of good horses in the barn on my game

I am still something of a newbie here. Are you guys saying that if a AI controlled horse retires to breed at the end of the season you can bring it into your breeding barn?
I did not know that! How do you do it?
A great feature for SO6 would be for the game world to have AI horses that were 'super studs' and you could pay a fixed cost to have one of your horses breed with them. You could gamble with low fee's like say 50k and hope to get lucky or if you had the money you can spend say 500,000 to breed with a known quality horse but also have the risk that it produces a dud now and then.

Do you not know or see the button you can click in the breeding barn to show non owned horses you can breed from. By amethyst2009 at 2012-06-21

Re: The most frustrating thing about Starters Orders
I had a horse that destroyed all my horses over a mile when it was 3 and 4. Eventually it retired to the breeding barn at the age of 7 (it was still placing in races like the Dubai World Cup) but then a month into the new season I looked at starting breeding and he wasn't there!

Thank you I feel none the too smart about never having seen that.

breeding barn has like 2 horses that are decent rest are shit.. I like what the guy said before being able to negotiate a price to breed with a super horse that's not in the barn.
