Firstly i would like to say i have been playing the Starters Orders series for many years and have never posted before but would like to thank everyone who posts on the forums for their help in making the game more enjoyable with their tips and custom schedules etc which i have downloaded.

My first question is, i am playing about with the in game schedule editor and wondered if there was any way of changing when the dash ( - ) appears in form? When playing a jumps game i notice this appears on January 1st and i think i am right in saying in real life it appears in the form in late April indicating the end of the official jumps season.

My second question is again to do with the jumps side of the game. I struggle to keep horses in form upto an older age, they tend to peak at 5,6 or 7. By racing them less at younger ages does that effect how quickly they will decline? I find i am able to win the gold cup and other grade ones upto the age of 8 then their form falls away. It would be great to have horses at the ages of 11/12 still able to cut it at the top level.

No, in real racing horses get the dash on January 1st. It counts for all horses flat and NH so they will all have it.

The older horses thing is due to programming, it is a little tilted towards flat racing ages in the jumps. I'm sure it will be another ongoing improvement that Mark will be looking into.

If you look through the form in the RP of NH horses it looks as if the dash is from the 1st of may ish.

Sorry supercat Nh horse's get the dash from may 1st The Official NH Season ends end of April used to be May at Stratford after the big Hunters meeting all horses age on January 1st and Flat horses get the Dash but not jump horses.
