 Re: aussie breeding
So it might be now that people can exploit the glitch and then the patch changes it all again. Not good.
Mark really needs to change the breeding completely. We should have a central breeding bank with real stallions, change the names slightly if necessary or list the races they won in their career so you can work out who is who. This is will mean people dont have to put in crazy amounts of hours to breed a horse capable of winning a top race.
Not my idea nor have I explained it very well knowing me, but its a great idea.

 Re: aussie breeding
And can you them still do your own breeding? Or can you only breed with certain stallions. How many can you breed?
It's an idea but what's the nitty gritty of how it works? Can't really comment until we know that.

 Re: aussie breeding
Yeah its Jamie's idea. Once you have bred Frankel x Danedream etc you can then use the horses you have from those pairings to breed your own lines.
Jamie please explain it.

 Re: aussie breeding
I haven't really got the head to explain this at the moment, but...
Have basically spoken to Matt about this as an idea in the past, and thought it might be a good direction for the game to go in with a revamp to the breeding side of the game.
My idea was that when you started off a game, you had a list of 10 real life stallions (with varying fees) which you could breed with 10 different real life mares, which would last only for the first 10 seasons and would vary on a game to game basis. The offspring you could then breed to other mares within the game and gradually build your lines that way - in much the same way it is run now.
The stallions and mares could be hardcoded into a database and awarded ability points on various factors which would effect a stallions career. The offspring between these two pairings would be completely random (you could get a superstar or a dud) - I just thought it'd be a nice way to infuse some real life crossover into the game, and keep things fresh and moving forward.
Would be awesome to breed with Galileo, and cover some quality Danehill mares etc...
