Post Re: My little 3yo miler challenge thread.
Just had a go at this 3yo miler challenge with one of my homebreds El dollar bed.
Similar to your horse, mine didn`t show the best stats, but ran well in the races, leading from the front in most.

Was a good 6f horse as a 2yo, losing only once (2nd in first run), 2yo groups wins read as follows 1/2/1

At the start of 3yo season, was poor at 6f, so i bumped her up to the mile for the english guineas and won by 3/4 L.

We then went to Longchamp for the Poule d`essai des pouliches (not on your list), which she won by 1 3/4L

This is when i decided to have a go at the challenge, ill not go into too much detail, just races, position and distance

English 1000 Guineas 1st 3/4L
Poule d`essai des pouliches 1st 3/4L
Irish 1000 Guineas 1st sht-hd
Coronation Stakes 1st 1 1/4L
Sussex Stakes 10th Maybe 5 lengths back
Queen Elisabeth II 1st 2 1/2L
Breeders Cup Mile 3rd beaten by 2L

She will go over the older challenge next year, i have 1 potential horse to have another go at the 3y0 challenge with, Blazing sales, just won the juvenile breeders cup mile, lightly race as a 2yo, 2 wins from 4.

As previously stated i had another crack at the 3yo challenge, this time with Blazing Sales, of different lineage to El Dollar Bed.
Stats show less potential than EDB but has raced well, and was better over the mile as a 2yo whereas EDB preferred 6f at 2yo.

Went out in the 2000 guineas to start with, lost by around 6L to finish 10th, challenge failed at first hurdle, but decided to continue to see how well he recovered, and threw in some other races as well;

English 1000 Guineas 10th
Poule d`essai des pouliches 1st 3/4L
Irish 1000 Guineas 1st 1L
St James Palace Stakes 1st 1/4L
Prix Jean Prat 1st 1/4L
Sussex Stakes 2nd beaten 1/4L
Queen Elizabeth II 2nd beaten 2 3/4L by one of my own older horses - silly mistake!
Breeders Cup Mile 4th beaten 1L

Next years 2yo horses look promising, but i will start my own thread about that rather than completely hijack UncleToms!!

Hey again everyone :D

Have not been able to get online in ages due to loosing internet connections and then vacations etc. But now I am online again, and have been playing the game all along.

This is not a new challenge horse yet (maybe I will try it with some of her offsprings) but I had to share this nice little horse I bred in my new breeding empire....lol

What do you guys think? All wins are G1. I will finish the 5yo season and then shes off to the barn.
