When viewing the 'Adjust Training' Screen we can select a horse and see its ability for 'Jumping' 'Starting' and 'Agility', Can a horses 'Jumping' ability be increased through gallops/racing or is it set?

I dont thinks so i have not noticed it really
as i have said many times before dont get bogged down by any of the bars
TBH none of them mean much
You will soon know by racing if the horse has issues jumping
My horse Dunguib who won the Queen Mum in the Lge had no jumping ability if you go by his bars

I hope it's different in SO6, it kind of drives me up the wall when breeding horses. How can a horse have more cruising burst and extra speed rating and yet be a slower horse :? If they are not worth anything then its not worth having it. U might as well just keep the potential bar.

Paul I've noticed this without galloping them. It happens after the first race, not all but a good few improve a little. It only happens to the one's that have very little ability.

I remember DB did some experiments with this in SO3/4 and found that galloping them would improve jumping ability but only slowly and only marginally. Remember there are still hidden stats which aren't displayed so what you see on the stats page isn't the whole picture. I only look at potential stats and see how the horses get on.
