Wow the quickest 1m4f horse i have ever produced just got hammered in the Arc
and by a 6 furlong horse what a horse freakish he was a furliong clear 3 furlongs from home

Horse for a course probably. A sprinter and not the greatest record but the AI entered him in the previous Arc. He boiled up that day so didn't run a lick. Only reason I can think of why the AI would put this sprinter in the 1-4 Arc.

One of the projects I was thinking of doing was breeding to and with these "horses for courses". If you look at the group wins of the game horses in the breeding shed you'll come across horses whose only wins are in 1 certain group race. This idea came to me after I had a cinch in the BC Classic only to be beat by an obscure horse who seemed to sprout wings that day.

Although not so common these days im pretty sure the Arc was a race that as always been a dubious as to sprinters suddenly winning it. I may be incorrect (usually am) and I don't know why but the Arc often springs some strange results.

I get this not infrequently in my game and I also get 1m4 horses running over 6, I think it's a glitch, it always seems to be horses run in the diamond jubilee, do badly, and then go and win the King George and the trainer gets fined over improved form. I've never seen one do that before though (win the arc as a sprinter)
