whats the difference between battling qualities and finish application? i still cant work it out. sorry if this is dumb

Battling Qualities - Means to me its tough and genuine and battles well challenged and keeps on to the finish or if its Bad Battling qualities gives up easily doesn't like to fight.

Finish Application Means it finishes it's races well even with a burst of speed at the finish

I've found these to be largely irrelevant, sometimes I've seen finishing application have a bearing on how good the horse is but just today I had a horse get passed and fight back in the final furlong and it's battling qualities were rubbish
