Post Re: aussie breeding
Perhaps. We don't know. There may be two glitches here. One is that only horses bred in Australia have this rise in potential (I haven't checked elsewhere but I assume this is the case). The other is that the horses bred in other leagues appear not to run as well in CK. In importing a horse with full potential to the UK schedule for export in CK this may be using the increase in potential in a way that Mark did not intend it to be i.e. a reflection that southern hemisphere horses matured earlier. I don't know and anything anyone says at this point is simply analysis of what we see.

The simple thing would be for Mark to look at this as he designed the whole thing and understands what he was trying to do better than anyone of us.

G'DAY ALL (see what i did there) having read marks post its seem pretty clear that not too much is going to happen at the mo so theres 2 choices really...

1.continue breeding through the new system and as suggested make it avaliable to EVERYONE.

or..

2.wait for Mark to come up with a solution (which we dont know how long it will take)thus putting the league on hold

I for one do not believe ANY of the current trainers were using this enhanced method and am more than happy to proceed in any way the general concensus wants to go.

however on a more serious note we cannot have mud slinging and name calling this is a site for mature people playing a grown up game not COD or whatever them whippersnappers play and you are expected to play nice and in our society a man is innocent until proven guilty.

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED....dont make me get my big stick!

Just a thought here If I started a new Aus Game and breed my NH horses in this game and then Export them back into my UK NH Game would then my NH horses get their Potential Early 8) food for though that guys.

Well looks like its a green light for the league next season, no easy fix without everyone having to start again so it looks the way to go.

Everyone better get breeding, Aussie style!

Great.. and I had just sorted out my shortlist of horses I need to trial to breed for next season. Well full steam ahead now then :). Just make sure there's a sticky in the online league section for new trainers to read please.

All I have to say now is that as of next season, until this issue is fully rectified be that in so6 or beyond I won't be participating in the league.

Its the same for everyone Ubar, having to move horses to australia then export back to britain is a pain but there nothing Mark can do and its better than starting again.

I understand, but I'm not prepared to go through all that, I'd rather play it on the uk schedule which being British holds far more interest for me.

Whether everyone starts from scratch is not what bothers me, what I don't want to have to do is be worrying about switching horses from country to country every time I breed

I see where you're coming from Ubar and I am probably one who feels the same as you. I don't 'play for the league' because I find it boring and tedious and it sucks all the fun out of the game for me. So for this season I haven't taken any notice of times, I just uploaded the best from the trials of the horses I had. Now I have done pretty well, I've had a couple of major handicap winners on the flat and over jumps plus quite a few group/graded placed horses. Which proves that in order to do quite well you DON'T need to play the way the likes of PJ and AKHC play.

I'm going to stick to what I'm doing. I have done a test of breeding horses in Aus so I'll probably keep those, but I expect I'll stick to the UK game because that is what I enjoy playing. If you want to enter the league having just played the UK game then it shouldn't technically stop you from achieving what I have achieved this season. If you want to enter to win all the G1's you'll have to play the Aus version. Without meaning or wanting to cause offence you have complained that your horses haven't performed well in the league, maybe they just aren't up to it this time... Maybe with another few weeks and maybe some fresh blood/a new game you'll be able to breed some horses who are able to compete in the league??

Not sure it makes much difference to a NH game.

I Agree with both Ubar and Cath
infact i am strongly considering not entering next season and start again in so6
to be honest doing this to be competitive is like starting all over again anyway still mulling it over

i of course am though happy to stay involved with the running the lge if thats what people want

I Know Mark thinks the current situation if far from Ideal and is looking into it and finding an alternative

i have already done loads of breeding at every distance for next season but now with the current situation they won't stand
a chance of even being competitive in handicaps unless i transfer every horse at every distance through Australia
i am not sure i can bring myself to do that already done too much towards next season and i find the thought of this very daunting

so i think i will wait for a fresh start in so6 but thats only my choice
as i say i may feel different about things later on
i feel i need a break from the game anyway
it was once again taking over its so dam addictive
