Post Re: New Beginnings
Something interesting I wanted to share.
One of the greatest horses I trained was named My Immortal. Multiple BC Mile winner as well as many other G1 and G2 races. He was a greyish white color and simply a boss on the track.
Well, while I was watching TVG, Pompano Park harness track was on and low and behold, one of the runners was named My Immortal, and was a grey! I had no clue that a horse shared the name with one of my bests, and the color too!
Thought y'all would enjoy that!

A devastating turn of foot that gives me chills. His full brother is just about to debut in a maiden and he looks better stats wise.

Nice horse, like the extra speed rating for a horse that distance. Can you tell me which mods you are using?

Thanks. He is the product of my two best CK performers at 1m-2f Ascot good

As far as mods I use...

My greenskin mod

My adaption of the stats bar mod made by skylark?

Some resized buttons I made

A kickass background pic I found on the net

My US schedule based on the 2014 US graded stakes schedule including the listed stakes races found on the Maryland circuit. My US schedule also includes all the Canadian graded stakes and the World Cup races. The Showcase file also has all the lesser stakes races (most of them) that were run in the US and Canada.

The top jockey/trainers for the US and Canada for 2014 with full names and portraits

All the tracks created by Mjtags

All the lesser US tracks using the generic SO6 tracks for their course files

And the kitchen sink

Full brother to The It has been unleashed. 8) He runs the highest rating for a debut 2yo in a maiden race I have ever seen in the whole SO series. I was going to call The It - The It Factor but I thought when I first got him in the barn he didn't warrant the name so I waited to see what comes later. Well, later is now. Gentlemen I give you...

The It Factor

118 debut rating in a Maiden race.

One of my greatest joys in the game is taking my sensational Kentucky Oaks winner and wheeling her right back in the Preakness and taking that race.

Arrived

Image

A product of my ridiculous number crunching breeding program.

Image

These numbers are what I consider most important. The green are above average and the purple are top tier numbers for each stat. The total number of 1037 for sire Made It Over is the first horse I've bred to make it over 1000 for a total. I found my best mare total number wise who had above average numbers for the three stats sire Made It Over was lacking in (Potential,Acceleration,Enthusiasm). Arrived almost got the best of all stats but inexplicably she has a poor consistency stat. She may make a 97 potential stat but I'm not hopeful. Later down the road I will breed her to 100 potentials.

Post Re: New Beginnings
First I did record numbers for each year from two to five. That was pushing my sanity level so I settled on just the numbers at the beginning of their five year old season. I retire to the game pool at the end of the four year old season but first I get their numbers at five and then close the game without saving after I record the numbers.

All the horses and their numbers are on one spreadsheet page. I use the average function in Open Office for each column to find the average and then decide what's above average and what's exceptional. The final total on the far right is what I was paying most attention to. I would breed the highest total number horses together. I would usually not breed to low potential horses as a rule but sometimes if they had the right stat elsewhere.

The long term pipe dream of a goal is to get a horse with all purple stats with the Holy Grail being a horse with a 100 in all those stats that I prefer.

I explained some in the mods thread months ago...

Quote:
Here's is what I am doing with these...

I record the numbers for a horse that I find most important to me in a spreadsheet program (Open Office). Using a simple function in Open Office I easily add the totals for a horse and get a final number. I went through all my transfer pool horses (138 horses) and did their numbers. With the average function I came up with an average number for each of the categories. I color coded green any number that is above the average for a category. In the totals column I color coded purple the horses who are in the very upper percent numbers wise.

The first 4 categories POT,EXTRA,CRUIS and FIN are far and away most important to me. In order of importance to me also.

The next 3 ACCEL,SPEED and START are from the main parameters box. In order of importance to me.

The next 6 BATT,ENTH,CONF,CONSISTENCY,GOINGADAPT and DIS.ADAPT are secondary stats bars that I think are somewhat important. In order of importance

The first 3 totals columns are the totals from the each of the above categories and the last total is these 3 combined.

In the above examples Maddy's total of 963 is easily the best. But it's mostly boosted by her secondary stats total. Her potential is crummy and her parameters total is bad. She wasn't a superstar in game or the CK. But I hope to pass on her secondary stats to others. Space Journey is the last horse to hit the transfer pool. His numbers surprised me. Chac Du Cadran was one of 3 with the highest parameters total. A gamebred.

Can't speak for the CK as I haven't played the game lately. Will again when the fever hits.
