Hello everyone

I'm a strategy gamer first with the bare minimum of knowledge when it comes to the nuances of horse racing. I have downloaded the demo of SO6 and an instruction manual from the site (though it refers to SO4 and I assume therefore there has been little change in the game mechanics of the new version).

Reading through the forums just confirms to me there is a lot more to the subject than what I've managed to glean from the tele  .
Before taking the plunge on the full game is there any reading on the site you can recommend by way of an 'idiots guide'?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Rab C,

I advise just searching the forum. There have been post requests such as this in the past and were answered. At a risk of sounding mean (which I am not intending) most people who have helped in the past multiple times may tire of typing the same thing :)

Just to add, if you are not overly familiar on the aspects of horse racing then this may be of use, check the link on the page :)

Thanks for the response GGBall and apologies for missing the obvious reference in the attached link . This is definitely the type of game I prefer despite my current ignorance of the finer points of the sport itself.

Cheers again.
