Post subject:  Any opinions on cross save breeding?

I'm wondering if it is better to save brilliant horses to the pool, then breed from them in a different save to get better offspring.
As hard as i try i can't get the potential of my horses to max.
I was lucky enough to buy a gamebred that did have max potential as a 2YO and has now won 35 G1's, but i can't decide whether to retire him to stud in my current save, or start a new game to make sure i get the best progeny. I have multiple G1 winning mares in both the transfer pool and my current save. This horse is now 8 years old so i need to make up my mind soon.

All opinions or experiences really welcome.

I am not sure which will give you better offspring but you can do both.
Save the game on the penultimate day of the season, then click on the export to pool for the horse and complete the season. On the first day of the new season quit the game with ctrl-alt-del, making sure not to save.
When you restart your game it will be the penultimate day of the season again and you will also have the horse in the game pool ready for a different game.
I believe you can do this any number of times.

Ok i'll give it a try. It'll be interesting to see if there is a clear difference. Thanks for the reply.
