Hi, I have had to purchase a new laptop running windows 8.1 to replace my old laptop running XT. I've installed the game (SO4) on my new laptop and have tried copying several years of saved game via my external hard drive, but it just doesn't seem to copy over. I've tried copying every file and directory in the starters order / so4 directory, but it's just not happening. I don't want to lose all those years so can anyone please advise if there is something else i need to do? |

Been a while since I have done this, but from memory, once you have downloaded the game onto your new laptop, you should start a new game, immediately save it, thereby creating a save game folder, then you should only have to identify your save game file that you have on your external hard drive and move this into your new save game file. |
