Hi Guys, Basically, this is the first Starters Orders game i have played (SO6). I dont know a great detail about the sport, just the basics really. It is a sport that i would love to know more about! Anyway, ive loaded my new game up, auto ran the first season, and im raring to go. So what i wanted to ask is are there any major do's and don'ts for me starting up? Also as a side question, do you guys go to the racecourse every day and bet etc? |

Welcome to Starters Orders the best Horse Racing game around I like the Jumps but I do play flat and combined I don't bet everyday actually when I got enough money in the bank I don't bet at all the game for me is all about Breeding your own horses and getting good horses to run in the Online League always have a big wager on Black Caviar a Legend horse on the flat in the early days of the season this is without autoran will get you a good start and money in the bank try and buy Decent horses in the weekly Auctions which takes place every Thursday after the races apart from that just enjoy the game and the forum you will learn a lot from this game to see how great the sport is in real life. Ok cheers. One thing i have noticed is that some screenshots on here show horses which seem to have a poor jumping rating but have won some high quality chases? Any idea what that is all about? |

As a fairly new player myself I have a couple of questions. Do you suggest just starting a flat or jump season, or is doing a combined one manageable? Do you suggest autorunning the first season? Any other tips, hints or suggestions for us newbies would be greatly welcomed. Thanks! |

I'd auto run the first season so all horses got form to start with and if u new always look on Thursday to see if there's any decent horses in the sales. |

Horses that got ok/decent jumping ability potential will end up better chasers than hurdlers. |

I have notice the odd small sale a day or two after the main sale but it's only on the odd occasion. thanks for the tip ![]() |
