Sorry if I should have posted this elsewhere, but I just wanted some advice really.

Only been playing SO for about a week now, I feel I have picked it up quite easily though. Now after taking my time watching races and betting I have concentrated on my horses and I believe on my very first game I may have something half decent. (Photos below).

Now whether he is or not I'm not sure but he did beat a Legendary... My question is, should I carry on with 2m, go back to 5f in which he also won a G1 or should I look at using him to breed? Thank you. :D

Welcome Wearing. You have hit the jackpot there for your first game. Is this a combined schedule game? I'm mostly a flat player but I see you have won a Group 1 5 furlong sprint and a 2 mile hurdle and a 2 mile chase with this freak? Your breeding empire starts right here with this horse. Full potential at 4. Almost full extra speed rating. Full acceleration bar.

Hi there. Thank you. :) Guess I must have from your reaction. Haha.

Because its my first time I didnt really know what to do, so I went combined thinking that I could utilise all types of horse hence the reason I tried him in many different types of race to my surprise, he did well.

Ive read in a few posts on the forum that people save horses for different types of games. Would you recommend I save this one and import it onto separate Flat/Jumps games? Then hope I get a decent breeding partner? Presume I'm allowed to do that to one day hopefully contest in this 'League' everyone goes on about?! Haha.

On the last day of the season of his final race save the game. Load the game up again and save the horse to the transfer pool. Skip ahead to the first day of the next season. Close your game out with the X in the upper right corner if you are in windowed mode or alt+ctrl+dlt if you are in full screen mode (do not save!).

In your documents directory there will be a folder called Starters Orders6. In there is a folder called saves. In there is a file called "ttf". Make a copy of the ttf file and save it to a new folder in this directory (I call my new folder "Transfer Pool"). Now you have a copy of this horse forever barring any computer catastrophes. As you add horses to the transfer pool make a copy and paste it over your back up copy each time.

When you bring in transfer horses to a new game always make sure to make a copy of your backup and paste it over the main ttf file afterwards. Thus you never lose your horses.

You can now load up your original game you have and retire this horse to stud and continue the game and breed your freak in the breeding shed and you will have a copy of him in the transfer pool too!

The same applies to exported horses for the league. The export horse file is the file with your email address at the end.
