Hi. I am new to Starters Orders. Starting to get the feel of the game and am watching Sabellas excellent video updates. I am most used to harness racing, so I am a bit unfamiliar with the galloping world. So I may be needimg some advice from the forum to understand everything. ![]() My first question is: Do you use jockey orders, and if so, how do you use them? Thanks in advance. PS: Really like the game. Good work. |

Hi Taunton Do you mean the orders before each race - as in 'challenge early' or 'challenge late' and 'hold up' etc? If so, then I think the first list is a little bit of a personal preference but in general I use 'stay on the rails' 'challenge late'. The next list depends on the characteristics of your horse....some like to drop out and others like to run on the pace etc. My very basic personal rule of thumb (where does that saying originate?? lol) is if the horse is a poor starter then I usually let it drop out or "Hold up" or "Slight Hold Up" Hope this helps |

I tend to not give any orders on a 1st run (always have a decent jockey) as he gets it right 90% of the time, even if he loses he will give you feedback so win win really |
