I have just raced a new 2yo colt for its maiden debut.

Looked very good but came 2nd to a once raced horse that was at the time rated 67.

After race my colt is rated 102... think that's the highest i've ever seen from a maiden, especially 102 rating from coming 2nd... and I trained frankel in an owners game!

The horse that won is now rated 90!... this makes absolutely no sense! (only explanation I the game takes the previous rating of 67 into account)


Has anyone else ever seen a rating that high from 1st race.... especially a rating that high and not even winning

yes, something similar happened to me some time ago. I had a 2yo maiden....can't remember if it won a maiden or ran 2nd but it got a rating of like 127 - insane stuff!
thing was - it ended up being a dud! I was pretty inexperienced at the time so I might have been it's demise lol
wish it would happen again - I am sure I would handle it differently than before. it was a shame - I thought I had found a freak lol
oh well
