Post A few questions from a newbie
- Where do I find jockey instructions?

- Is the combined as in depth as one of the two on their own?

- What are the best ways to make money early on?

- is riding yourself beneficial?

1. When you get to your race on raceday there will be a blue square in the upper left of the race field for that race. Click that to hide the entries and show the jockey instructions drop down box.

2. Never played combined

3. Start on simple setting and put your 5 horses up for auction. They auction on every thursday. Skip past the auction day to friday. Do not go to auction to watch them sell. You get more money by just skipping the day. You should have a couple million to work with. Go to the thursday auctions now and look for a promising youngster and buy it. If you can get that horse to get a graded stakes placing you can then sell it for big money. OR...

Start a game and save it immediately. Load up again and go to races and watch who wins the races. Remember those horses. Close the game out without saving and load your save up again. Bet on those horses. This can take multiple efforts to get what you want. The poormans cheat.

4. Never ridden myself. The monkey on my back says it's a blast

just started riding a few of mine....it is a blast....if you win :-)
BUT the one thing I have learnt from it is it shows you exactly where your horse likes to race - which helps for that horse you can't work out the right riding instructions for.
