Hi Ren

I generally play as owner/trainer (auto training) and I occasionally ride a horse if I can't work out it's jockey instructions.

Also, if you go into 'online league discussion' you will see a post heading "EX5. The last exhibition race. THE GRAND NATIONAL. 26th Feb"
It is a race where some of the players have entered their horses for an online race. A link to the race will be posted over the weekend - I think you'll find it interesting :-)

I play owner/trainer manual training mode UK based.

Manual training mode is more hands-on than auto training, and a lapse of concentration can create a bigger screw-up. :|

The reward of owner/training mode, in addition to winning races is an extra collection of surprises when breeding your own horses.

Something for everybody. 8)

Owner/trainer mode with auto training here. Play in the US mainly due to the Triple Crown (especially the Kentucky Derby!), and using the StartIt mod.

Not tried jockey mode, whilst I feel I'm missing a lot with trainer and bet only modes. Manual training is too hard for a fairly casual player like me, especially when I'm attempting to find time to get breeding sorted rather than micromanaging the game. :D
