Post Cross Country
Im playing the schedule that is preset within SO6 and am a keen NH fan. Does anyone know if there are likely to be any cross-country races included as i noticed its been included on the racecourse.

The diary shows 2 cross country chases in the default schedule. One is in December and the other at the Festival in March.

Ive noticed the Glenfarclas chase at the festival but for some reason that race always seems to be run on the normal course. I just wondered if it was because i was playing on old saved game.

You can adjust which course the Glenfarclas races use. If you haven't already done so, go to the Starters Orders game folder and click on it, then click on 'data', You will see folders numbered from 1 to 11. '1' houses all the information about the UK racing, click on '1'. You will then see 'dat' files for everything: the courses which horses will run, trainers, jockeys, owners... the file you are looking for is '_showc_j'... this file lists every jumps race along with its conditions. Before you edit it, it will be better to make a copy of the '1' folder to your computer so you can keep the original files as they were and make a further copy that you can edit without encountering permissions issues.

First, check that the cross country course is listed. Open your recently-copied '1' folder, go to the '_courses.dat' file and open it. You will see all the courses listed for flat races, jumps races, dirt races. Scroll down until you see a section of courses headed 'jumpsCc' or similar: Cheltenham should be the only course in that group. Copy the 'jumpsCc' element, then open the _showc_j file that you have copied and run a search for 'Glenfarclas'. You will find the race run in March as the first instance of it. On the line above that, you will see the details of the course: 'Cheltenham:cc_jumps1' or similar. Paste your 'jumpsCc' over the 'jumps1'. Check that the December race already has 'jumpsCc'. Save your changed file and come out. Then copy your '_showc_j' to the one in the game.

When you run it, you should see the Glenfarclas Chase at the Festival now run on the cross country course.

If you download http://www.mediafire.com/download/n20hr ... th_Cup.zip you just need to paste the data files in.
